The admission process for Chandigarh Engineering College is very straightforward, you can either apply for the Punjab Technical University counseling or you can directly contact the college through their website and get admission through the management quota.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is relevant to the industry and the faculty members are supportive. The course I took is electronics and communication engineering, and this has data structures and algorithms DSA and some other CS subjects too. The exams are easy to pass here. Two mid-semester exams are held every semester, after which the semester or university exams are held.

The roles offered by companies under internships in Chandigarh engineering college are of developers and dev ops sometimes. The stipend offered differs but is around 40k. The projects that students make are mostly based on web developmentz, some are also devices that get recognized by the govt.

Placement Experience

The 5th-semester students become eligible for campus placements. The average package for CSE/IT branch is 3.5lpa and the highest is 40.9lpa which was offered by Adobe in 2021. Around 70% of students get placed. My plan is to get into a MAANG complany after I graduate.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees hike policy is very friendly for the pocket. In the last 4 years, there has only been a fee hike of 3000. There are no scholarships for the students by the college though. One can avail of the scholarships offered by the govt through the college.

Campus Life

The Chandigarh Engineering college has many clubs. The Department of student welfare DSW has clubs for coding, dance, art, etc. Anyone should be able to find the club they want to be a part of here. There is a fee of 500 to join a club. There is a website cgcassignments.com that the students can use for the notes and books for their respective courses.

Placement scenario is good and it is improving since then. TPO looks after this process and it is responsible to call comapnies to the college and discuss about the eligibility of the students who can appear for the placements. For internships, students in the 3rd year appear for it while for placements 4th year students can appear. The average package is approx. 8-9 LPA while the highest has gone to 64 LPA during my college duration. Almost all students get placement.

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

College does provide a decent number of companies to students to get placed but as per seniors Companies come with good package but students fail to grab them. Students are eligible for placement form 7th semester. As data given to us from t&p for this year currently the minimum package is 6 lpa and average is touching 8 but don't get excited it's just the starting months of placement season. My plan is to get a good college for post grad as that was my plan from the start ??

General Engineering College Landra: a balanced blend of academics, placements and compass life

I chose Chandigarh Engineering College Laundry over the other due to its strong placement record affordable structure and good industry connections first up I applied to Chitkara University and Lovely Professional University but found C see more cost effective with a well structured curriculum. I go to admission offers, I preferred CC for its better return on investment.
