Remarks
I didn't enter the college through any entrance exams. I had secured enough marks in my 12th state board exam and with that, I got admission in the counselling process conducted by anna university. Cut off mark of 184 was required to get civil engineering seat. The application forms and all the fees structure are available on the college's official website. The admission process was good and easy, no need for any improvements currently.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose civil because I'm more interested in the construction field and aim to become an assistant engineer. All the faculty members were friendly and the bond with all students was great. Most of the teachers completed their masters and the most practical method of teaching is preferred. Two months once we get internal exams and constantly studying makes the exams easy to pass.
Internships Opportunities
The companies that offered internships were fibre construction and RR thulasi builders. I went for faben construction and they provided a stipend of 15k for the role of site engineer. The project was the construction of a hospital building and currently final floor of construction is going on.
Placement Experience
From the final year starting students are eligible to attend placements and all are eligible for it. The companies visited last year were faben construction, Shona construction and RR thulasi builders. Mostly all companies provide an average package of 15k per month. Nearly 70% of students get placed. Currently, I'm in faben construction and got a plan to become an assistant engineer.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of the college is a bit high compared to my expectations. But the hostel facilities and foods are worth the money. I got placed in faben constructions and currently earning 15k per month.
Campus Life
Mainly two events such as yugam and Janam were conducted every year. Our library was big and they're a lot of books to gain knowledge. I am a part of the football team in our college and the care and support was enormous from the staff. Many clubs like dance, haasya, scrable, etc are there to shine in different fields.
Hostel Facilities
The room provided was spacious and 4 members can stay in a single room. Air ventilation was good as there are more trees on the surroundings. The quality of food is good but for the long term we should adapt with the same pattern of food. Hostel registration is done during admission and easily affordable.
