Remarks
The whole admission process was online. It was a merit-based admission. All the important dates, fees, and notices were displayed on the main du portal. During the first cut-off, I opted for Bharati College ( DU), although I wanted a better one, but I didn't want to take any chance. Then during the second cut-off, I got to Dyal Singh College. The fees had to be paid within three days. It was around 14,000. I also got a 1% upgrade for being a girl child. The whole process was easy and convenient. I had no problem.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am pursuing my graduation in B.Sc.(Hons) Mathematics. I have always been interested in Maths. I wanted to study it further and know more concepts. Moreover, I wanted a well-reputed college for pursuing it. That is why I chose this college. The faculty is really supportive and great. It is really above my expectations. The professors are so concerned for the students. I feel the teachers are even better than the school. All the professors have done PhD. The exams are conducted at the end of each semester and are not that tough.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities are not that great as the course is not professional. Most of the scholarships are related to marketing. The college had provided an internship by Younity which again related to marketing. I am satisfied with the internship opportunities.
Placement Experience
As such there are no placement offers for us, but there will be a few in the future. I have no interest in college placement. I have my plans. After my graduation, I am going to pursue MCA from an NIT. I am preparing for NIMCET and hopefully get into it. If not next year, I will prepare for one more year.Hope for the best.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are taken yearly and are very affordable. Also, many scholarships are provided for students who can't afford them. I have not yet completed my graduation, so I don't have much knowledge about the placements. But there are very few placements for my course as it is not a professional course.
Campus Life
Life at college is amazing. New people, environment and experiences. Many cultural events are conducted from time to time. The annual fest was organised in April. The library has a variety of books and journals. The college infrastructure is really nice compared to the other DU colleges. The classrooms are big and spacious. The campus has 3huge playgrounds, an amphitheatre and an auditorium. The college has many societies including eco club, Rotaract, Finanza, drama society, dance society, etc.
Hostel Facilities
There are no hostels in my college. The locality has many PGs and flats. The accommodation is expensive. I live in a PG and pay 11000 every month excluding the electricity bill. I live in a three-sharing room with facilities like a refrigerator, laundry, A.C. The locality around is student-friendly and safe. It has easy access to buses and the metro.
Interview Experience
There was no interview during my admission. It was a merit-based admission. I took admitted to Bharati college during the first cut-off and later transferred to Dyal Singh college during the second cut-off.
