A beautiful golden era!!

Politics are high on campus which is triangularly between SFI, KSU, and ABVP. Chances of exam postponing high during my time. Now don't know much about it.

I took Cochin university of science and tech exam separately and scored marks which were cut off for getting into a mechaanical engineering course. I took this prestigious institution for experienced professors, the reputation of the university and nearby home.

The course curriculum is same comparing with other universities, but university exam will be different and difficult comparing with other universities. So need to prepare better to get good scoring in the final exam. internal exams are easy and can score big. but university exams are tough to get 90% score.

no, college never provides a stipend for General category. but for SC/ST students I think they provide. because CUSAT is a self-financing institution. So don't know much about as I fall on GC.

Job opportunities for mechanical engineers at that time was less. only 1 got into campus selection. But for IT and electronics around 15 people got campus interviews and selection. But currently, the value of CUSAT is better comparing with 1998-2002 time.

It's expensive since you need to pay Rs 50000 / semester now for each student. First 3 student who is higher in rank in class will need to pay only Rs 6000 (Approx).

There is a separate entrance exam for CUSAT B-TECH course and we need 50% marks required for all the subjects for +2 for writing their entrance exam for general category and to score minimum mark for qualification to get into the course.Based on the entrance scored, you will get rank and interview will be purely based on rank.

the faculty is fully cooperating and highly experienced. they are friendly with students based on students behavior. they will provide all necessary lectures and notes. but need to study at least one module on their own.Needless to say, their are friendly. but facilities for mechanical was less at 1998-2002 time.
