Remarks

All the above questions comes down to one big question, '' Is this college worthy enough to bring into adulthood and the real outside world'', the answer is, yeah, you will eventually love it. The management is crazy strict but people who survive them, th

Entrance Preview

I took COMEDK exam. I scored 5825 rank. In that rank this was the best option I had, taking mechanical engineering was my main target, this college just came beside my name & rank and I took it.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The B.E. course we do is under the affliation of VTU, my batch follows "2010 B.E. Scheme". The curriculum is general for first and second semester but from third semester it becomes totally focused on the core mechanical, its good. The only improved I can think of is to include more practicals & some computer languages to help in future.

Internships Opportunities

Well, unfortunately this college doesn't provide any internships so my advice and look out for yourself, you are not a kid anymore you need to arrange for yourself so good.

Placement Experience

2.5

Well to be frank, if you are doing engineering in an IT city like bangalore then no matter which branch you are from, you need to learn the programming languages and some basic CSE concepts. The majority of the companies that come for recruitment are of IT field.

College Events

1.5

Now this is a really good time for everyone. The "UTSAHA" fest happens every alternate semester. Its really big, having a lot of contests from simple rangoli to big robots. Also, each branch conducts there own little fest, this is mainly technical including presentations and quizzes. We mechanical have "UTKHANNA".

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structures are divided into many categories, there are four of them, for CET entry its around Rs17000 and if you are a SC/ST coming through CET its around Rs 5000. If you COMEDK then even if came here through a tough enough competetive exam you will pay like as if you are here through management seat, for comedk its around Rs 1,75,000. Lastly, for management seat, its around Rs2,25,000 and some 'donations'.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are there in this college but, you need to be a SC/ST. If you a SC/ST and if you score well you will get scholarship. If you are any other caste then, tough luck bro.

Campus Life

3

Campus life is good. The canteen is the 'hotspot' of the campus life. the gender-ratio of college is really really good given that we live in India but if you are a mechanical or a civil engineering student then, tough luck with 'gender-ratio'. Hostel life is good with many celebrations of both religious and 'other' types. this is a private college so don't have high hopes from the sports department. There are a lot of clubs here for you to join so life is going to be productive, trust me.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel is good in terms of no.of facilities like Wi-fi, Gym, etc. but the maintenance is really poor and when you go to mess just tell yourself that you live in a "Hostel" and not a "Hotel". The menu is really variant and rich but, the cooks are not well

Alumni/Alumna

If you are a hostelitte then you will automatically become acquainted with your seniors. Seniors are good, they help you with both technical and extra curriculars, as they have their own responsibilities so don't expect much from them. During placement-year, the alumini association will get some passed-out seniors who will give you the 'heads-up' regarding the outside world.

Exam Structure

The 'great VTU' follows the three internals scheme and then practicals and external exam so there is not much time between the exams to be 'chilled'. We need to keep up ourselves or life in engineering will become hard for you. The only good thing is that

Faculty

2

The faculties are highly qualified in terms of academic qualifications The HODs are all Doctrates. They have knowledge that is why they are here. But, as they are faculties of a bachelor degree so don't expect them to spoon you the concepts, they will onl

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
