Remarks

The admission process was done through Jossa. As the application process for batch 2024 was online it was convenient to apply for college admission. There are no reservation benefits from the college but there are benefits from admission counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is up-to-date. Most of the facilities are from well know colleges. I think they should hire more faculty members, but it's pretty good the way it's going now. There are 3 exams in a semester 2 pre-sems and an end-sem exam.

Placement Experience

Companies come to college from 6 sem and onwards. The highest package goes as high as 60 LPA. The median package is around 15lpa. Most of the students get placed, the placement percentage is around 80%.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is a bit high than compared to other colleges. There are scholarships which we can apply for. But the college doesn't provide any special scholarships for the students. There are no campus jobs available.

Campus Life

There is no permanent campus as of now (2022). We are hoping to get a new campus by the year 2025. Currently, we are on rent with shighad college. We do have clubs in which you can participate and have fun.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are from moderate to good. The meals are average. The registration process for the hostel is simple. There are pgs available near the college. They are better than most pgs in India.

Hostel Fee: INR 24000 per year

Interview Experience

3.5

There are no tests or interviews to get into the college. The admission process is done based on the rank you get in your competitive exam like JEE. The admission process is simply done online due to the pandemic.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. This College was on my top priority as It is in the city Pune . The Emerging IT city in India . As the Name is IIIT it also attracts me . At the time of Counselling i have filled Branches in ECE of NIT and CS of IIIT . Initially i was alloted IIIT Bhopal but inn the 5th round IIIT Pune was alloted . My Parent was happy as Pune is Nice city. My College Infrastructure is Good but not as expected. If we compare my College to Private than it is far Good and all the facilites are nice. Yeah we can say that we are new but we can say that we are not less than New NIts. For Entrance in IIIT Pune You need to qualify the JEE Main Exam with Good Percentile. My experience of iiit pune

I also applied to cse at IIIT jabalpur and allahbad, and chemical engineering at nit Warangal but I couldn't get a seat there. I was also getting ece in iiit jabalpur and cse in spit mumbai but I decided to take iiit pune cse over it.
