Remarks

Not much improvement is needed. All that is needed is that those who allow so many documents, try to do a little in all of them and there is a lot of trouble. It should be reduced in the initial days.

Course Curriculum Overview

We took some courses because we wanted to know something about it and the other thing was to complete the credit for B.Tech. Here have many teachers and students and the ratio is about 1:6. All faculties are fully qualified and professors And here exams are very easy compared to all colleges.

Class Size: 33Course Fees: INR 13000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Here many companies visited for providing internships like Samsung, Microsoft, and Jio and they give very good stipends. Here average stipends are 45000rs per month. Here I have done a project which is the Design of the water tank. Now I can design it.

Placement Experience

In the 6th semester, we are eligible for placements. Here many companies visited my college all around 54 companies visited like Samsung, Amazon, Jio, Microsoft, Nvidia, etc. And my plan after B. Tech for prepare for the UPSC CSE exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are not very much as compared to private colleges. Here fees are 13000rs for OBC students per semester. And in the final year, almost all students get selected by companies and got an average of 18 lakh packages.

Campus Life

I'm IIT Jammu organized many fests. In April month tech is organized by students with government funds. Libraries are air conditioners and fully vaccinated. Here are all books available at all times. In extra curriculum football, basketball, tt and pool games and Nss nongraded course available for all B. Tech students.

Hostel Facilities

Here one room is provided for two students and rooms are good as compared to other colleges here all time wifi, water cooler and caretakers available. Hostel registration is too easy and only 2000rs fees per sem for one student with the mess. And in the local room is too high rent but in my college, the local room is not allowed.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

i got this college based on my jee advanced rank , i applied for some better iits but my rank was not upto it . i got 3778 obc rank which got me electrical branch in iit jammu. i also got 5431 obc rank in jee mains that was giving me chance to get cs in lower iits or electrical type branch in nit kurukshetra or other iiits , but i chose iit over iiits and nits beacuse of branch name ....Read More

Jammu is the heaven so is this iit for your better future

For me cleanliness, environment and healthy life is very important and also I got a seat on iit on my first attempt so I had taken this course and currently I am graduated and doing perfectly fine and not regretting my decision. Also my rank was not very good that's why I got rejected from other old iits I applied for. I applied in all old iits and also to nits and to some IIITs too.
