SNU's admission process is very quick and smooth. The application form is to be found on the website. The students can also take admission by directly visiting the University and contacting the admission department. The eligibility for the course in Microbiology is class 12 qualification from Science stream with at least 55%. If the students can meet their eligibility criteria then they can get admitted in the University by paying the fees. Admission through the University's entrance exam is also available.

Biology is my favorite subject and I wanted to base my future studies on the subject. And since there are great career opportunities in the field of Microbiology, so I decided to pursue this course. The faculty-student ratio is 1:10 in our University. Our professors are highly qualified, hard-working, experienced and extremely dedicated. I am quite impressed by their polite behavior and excellent teaching method. The teacher and students have a very friendly bonding here which allows us to address our queries and doubts fearlessly. Both practical and theoretical exams are conducted on a regular basis here to assess our understanding of the lessons learned. The exams are not very difficult for the students who had studied the topics and attended the classes regularly.

We all are provided with at least one internship opportunity. The time period for the internship is 3-6 months, which is enough to have a good understanding of the practical field. Moreover, we are provided with a stipend of around 15k to 20k per month, which is an added advantage besides all the experience we obtain. These internships help us gain hands-on training and have the practical experiences needed to excel in this field in future.

We are offered placement opportunities from our final semester. Big companies like Amazon, TCS, HCL, HP, Wipro, Virtusa and many more which have tie-ups with the University visit our campus to conduct interviews and offer us jobs. Almost all the good students get placed if they can perform well in the interview. The University also provides us with special training to help us crack the placement interviews with ease. Highest salary has gone as up as 32 LPA while the average salary stays around 5-6 LPA. I too plan to sit for the interview and get placed at a reputed company after getting the degree.

SNU has an affordable fees structure. The fees include all the facilities like library, laboratory, study materials, uniform, etc. that the University provides us. The fees has to be paid in instalments. Student's Credit Card facility is also available as a means of providing financial assistance to the students. The University also provides Scholarship opportunities based on the student's marks. Also, special scholarships are offered to students from sports and performing arts background. Moreover, SNU offers some great internship opportunities with good stipend that can help to get some relief on the course fees.

Our life at the campus is very exciting and filled with celebrations. Beginning with freshers and farewell parties, we celebrate different events like Holi, Durga Puja, Independence Day, etc. to various cultural functions. We celebrate our Annual Fest in the month of February. SNU also have scope for sports, entertainment, extracurricular activities and various cultural clubs like music, dance, drama, photography, etc. Our library is filled with all the important books and study materials that we require. We can either sit and study in the huge library or borrow books if we have a library card. Our classrooms and laboratories also have all the modern amenities and advanced facilities that we need to thrive in this field. We really spend some good time here at the campus.
