Remarks

Overall, the college is academically sound but it lacks in terms of infrastructure. The canteen needs improvement and Infrastructure needs to be looked upon.

Entrance Preview

No entrance examination was conducted for the FYUP Batch. A cut-off list was released and I made it in the first list itself.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum was excellent. Within a month of the commencement of the classes, I was engrossed completely in the books recommended and study material given for reference. Apart from the course education, I had an opportunity to be a part of the research project conducted for NAAC Accreditation.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college lacks internship or placement opportunities. We had to look for such opportunities at other places.

Placement Experience

1

The placement and job opportunities are very poor. The placement cell lacks management and the companies that come for placement particularly look for IT field students only. No opportunities are generated for students belonging to Faculty of Arts. Also, the packages offered by the companies are comparatively low.

College Events

3.5

Departmental fest was conducted at the college level. Competitions were conducted at inter-college level. Invitations were sent to renowned educationists and specialists to address the audience on the related topic. The college organized a common fest with numerous activities to participate in and it was carried out on a big scale.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is quite feasible. Registration charges were nominal and the exam fee was also less. Admission charges were INR 8000 and exam fee of INR 800 was to be submitted. The exam form was submitted before the payment of Examination Fee.Additional charges for other courses with lab work were paid along with the basic fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship opportunities for bright students belonging to the economically backward classes were available. Apart from this, College and University toppers were granted scholarships and monetary benefits were provided.

Campus Life

2

Being an all girls college, Kalindi did not shy away from conducting extra-curricular activities. We were encouraged to participate in the workshops, competitions, sports activities and many other cultural activities conducted by the college. Also, active participation was seen at various inter-college and inter-university competitions.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

The hostel facility for students from North-eastern states was said to be brought in within few years. The foundation was laid down for the hostel premises and the work on it was also commenced. Students were required to find PG on their own at the nearby places. No such provision was made on the part of college authorities.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors were very kind and helpful. They took it as their responsibility to encourage us to participate in various activities conducted in the college campus.

Exam Structure

Exam structure kept us packed tightly. Continuous evaluation kept us in sync with the course and topics which were taken up in the classes. We had to submit assignments, presentations, and tests from time to time. The examinations were conducted in semester pattern, twice every year.

Admission

I filled the common admission form released by the University of Delhi and took it to the college campus. The administration was helpful enough to get the admission form filled and direct me to proceed. Form verification was pretty easy since I carried all the required documents. once the verification was done, I just had to pay the admission fee.

Faculty

5

The faculty of Kalindi College was one of the best across North Campus colleges for BA (Hons.) English. Along with course-related knowledge, they helped us in organizing fest and participated equally in the cultural activities. The faculty remains friendly and keeps in touch even after the completion of course.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

The course curriculum is highly relevant and well-structured. It covers core subjects in detail along with modern industry-oriented topics. The balance between theory and practical learning is good, which helps students build strong concepts and job-ready skills for the future.
