I always wanted to be a lawyer. I went for parallel coaching for CLAT [Common Law Admission Test] in my twelth standard. The exam covers five major areas, viz, English, Logical Reasoning, Legal Aptitude, Mathematics and General Knowledge.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is very inclusive of all major status in India currently. The course always gives a student an opportunity to choose two subjects as their honours subjects, out of the subjects, viz, Constitutional law, Intellectual Property Rights, Corporate Law, Criminology and Penology and Trade and Investment.

There are Internship Co-ordination Committees for every batch that takes care of the internship of students in that batch. Personal applications for internships are however, not barred. The internship one gets depend upon various factors like the year of study, the CGPA of the student, the contacts available with the ICC and the student, etc. In my fourth year, many students have got internships in Shardul Amarchand & Mangaldas, Cyril Shroff Amarchand & Mangaldas, Trilegal, Luthra & Luthra, AZB, Khaitan & Co.
College Events
The law school culture is very different from that of the medical colleges and engineering colleges across India. We have moot court competitions (known as Hidayatullah National moot Court Competition - HNMCC) and our cultural-cum-sports fest (Colossus). The events and the after-parties are bash.
Fees and Financial Aid
General bank loans are available as our college is one of the premier law schools of the country, established under the HNLU Act and is funded by the State. I'm sorry, but I'm unaware of any scholarships.
Campus Life
The college takes much interest in the extra-curricular activities of the students, by way of holding challenger rounds and benchmark for moot court competitions, reimbursement for the expenses incurred and attendance make up for all the students who participated in various activities, like debates, parliamentary debates, MUNs, moots, cultural and sports fests, seminars and paper presentations across the country as well as abroad. We have theatre club, sports club, photography club, dance club, music club, nature club, debate club, etc. for people who are interested. The gender ratio, is almost 1:1. From my personal experience, there has been no intolerance towards gender or ethnicity or race or religion or sexual orientation. Though, it is found that there is a tendency amongst local (from Chhattisgarh) students to be friends with local students and national (from all the other states) students with national students.
Hostel Facilities
The College, since a residential college, it is mandatory for the students to stay in the college halls of residence. We have single rooms as well as double sharing rooms. In case of single sharing rooms, there is a common balcony for two rooms and the ro
