Remarks

Eligibility will be a minimum of 75% marks in class 12 and a good rank in JEE mains. Applications are through counselling of jee mains (jossa). Reservations are according to the criteria of JEE, though there are no female reservations.

Course Curriculum Overview

The reason for choosing CSE was mainly placements. Faculty to student ratio is okay but the quality of teaching is not good in CSE, in ECE it is better though. Most of the faculties have done masters in my knowledge. Exams are always timely and it is not very difficult to pass with the exception of a few subjects throughout the course.

Placement Experience

Campus placements have really been great up until this year. They were with NIT though and now we are getting separated so it will surely be impacted since our alumni are in good places/companies. Placements will not be affected drastically.

Fees and Financial Aid

Course here is definitely costly but not as much as most good private colleges. There is no provision of scholarship from the college side, however, the college is on the list of all the state government scholarship.

Campus Life

Until this point, we were accommodated with the NIT Surat college so the fests were organised by them along with some of our students. Central library of SVNIT was very good but now we are going to a new campus so can't really say about that. We have our cultural club of IIIT Surat, SARAS and also the software development club GDSC Surat.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels provided by SVNIT was okay in 3rd year, it was very good in the first year though but now that we are shifting to a new campus let's see what facilities are there. Meal quality was not good in 3rd years mess of iiit.

My honest Experience at Ahmedabad University

Placement at GEC Gandhinagar are decent but not as strong as the top engineering college in Gujarat while a few repeatable companies visit the frequency and variety could be better many students with good gpas and project work seek your decent job either through the collegial or by actively applying on their own for those who dont get campus placement the college still provide a solid foundation you can pursue higher studies take certification course or enter the IT or core industry thought of campus jobs overall the experience prepares you sufficiently for the next step But its wise to Proactive about your career.

Placement Experience:

Their is an placement faculty in my college, many companies like torrent, birla, tcs etc and many more companies visit our college. Also our college provides internship for students. The average salary pakage is about 3 lakhs which is less and about 65% of students are placed every year. Highest pakage of my college is about 8lacks per annum. About my plan after completing degree is that if college place me for about salary upto 6 lakhs then i will place otherwise i will go for preparation of "GPSC" exam and set the carrier their.

Placement Experience:

7 semester company will come to recruitment to students. Like TCS, Medcart, Mahindra and many ahmedabad local companies. Highest package is 12 lpa and average is 4 lpa. Placement Experience:

Placement in this college is quite good and it also depends on the grades of the students. Highest package goes to 14 lakhs per annum and the average package goes to 5 to 6 lakhs per annum. As the students enter into their 7th semester the placement process gets started and the students will go into th selected companies in their 8th semester and if the worked well their they can also get PPO which means that they can do their job for permanent time. Percentage of the students last time who got placed in big MNCs company goes to 87 percent and the rest students got their placement in some small company. My plan after my b tech degree is to get higher studies in Mtech by score a good mark in the GATE exam which is going to be held in February month.

Campus placement is available in our college Most of students get plavement it means 80% to 85% students get placement After 3 year student get internship and then student get placement . Lot of companies come for placement like Tata, Reliance etc... Our college placement ratio is Lowest placement package is around 2 Lakh per year average placement package is around 3-4 Lakh per year And Highest placement package is around 6-7 Lakh per year.

Review of iiit surat

I want to study in western part of india i.e. gujarat or maharashtra. So I've encountered all best colleges in these two states, offcourse iitb will be number 1 but i have just cleared advanced and not even scored good marks in it and in mains i got 40k rank so i couldn't get into circuital branch in nit nagpur and nit surat, so i have decided iiit nagpur , iiit surat and iiit pune. Unfortunately i couldn't get into iiit pune due to high cutoff and got seat in iiit surat in csab 2024.
