Remarks
My university was given top rankings by agencies like NIRF. I always wanted to get into this IIT but during BBA, I was not able to match the cut-off of this university so I worked really hard and secured a seat for me here. I prepared well for CAT as I wanted to get admission here. The infrastructure and faculty were excellent. The placement record is also great.
Entrance Preview
I cleared CAT, which was a required examination here. My CAT score was enough to get admission here and I soon received a call letter after filling application form. I had to show all my academic transcripts for verification, which included my class 10th and 12th score card, graduation degree, and relevant internship certificates.
Course Curriculum Overview
My program had a well-arranged curriculum. Accounting and Finance were my main subjects but other than that I also studied HR Management, Business, etc. My teachers were experienced and most of them had high degrees like PhD. We were given assignments from time to time in order to build our skills. They also prepared us for interview rounds and how to solve a problem in business effectively and efficiently.
Placement Experience
The placement drive starts during the third semester and till fourth semester, it continues. Many famous companies visit the campus during this time. Some of these companies are Apple, Microsoft, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, and many others. The packages offered were lucrative and with a decent job position. My batch’s highest offered package was of ₹25,00,000 while the lowest was ₹18,00,000. Overall, it was a good average of ₹21,50,000. I earned a job positioned of Assistant Finance Manager at Amazon, and my package was ₹22,00,000.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My program was of two years and its annual fee was ₹2,00,000 which included tuition fee and other miscellaneous fee. My books costed me about ₹5,000 a year. I received a merit-based scholarship from my university which helped me a lot to meet my expenses and complete my degree.
Campus Life
I experienced a great life here at IIT Kharagpur. Many fests like Tech Fest, Robosoccer, Kshitij, etc. were held. The classrooms were huge and laboratories had latest devices. The cafeterias served tasty food and the playgrounds had separated badminton, basketball, and volleyball courts. The library had numerous books from different genres.
