Admission to dtu is done on the basis of Jee mains scores through JAC Delhi. Being an outside Delhi student the cut-off rank for the CHEMICAL ENGINEERING Gen category is 11563 and for OBC 26230 till around 4. And after spot round 49568 for GEN and 53611 for OBC....Read More

I started my admission procedure, by first enrolling in JAC Delhi. From the beginning only I was very well convinced about giving DTU higher priority, however for the sake of being on the safe side I opted for NSUT, IIITD as well. However, IIITD didn't offer the courses I was interested in and for NSUT my preferred course was being given on the west campus which doesn't have a good reputation as such. JEE results came and i couldn't qualify advanced but with around 130-140 marks in mains i was confident that i can skip the comedk councelling( As it was just for a backup!) so i only sat for JOSAA,JAC DELHI AND BITSAT councellings. All these councellings were being held online(due to Covid -19)and almost simultaneously . I was offered a seat in BITS hyderabad but its fee was too high for me(6-7 lac per year) so i decided to drop BITS ! Now i was left with only NITs and JAC DELHI colleges(DTU, NSUT and IIIT DELHI). I was given delhi quota(as i completed my 12th from delhi) but coming from general category, for me it was good for nothing. It was clear in my mind from the begining that either i will join the top 7-8 NITs or I will take DTU/NSUT(as these are much better that other NITs). I was offered seat in NSUT/DTU but i was waiting for those top NITs. Eventually on failing to secure a good branch in top NITs i chose DTU over lower NITs and i am happy with it....Read More

DTU provides the best campus life as compared to any other engineering college in Delhi-NCR. It provides ample opportunity to its students to explore their interests not only in engineering but also in several other fields. The teaching faculty of DTU isn't very impressive all the time, self study is what students rely on. I got enrolled in DTU through the JAC Counselling Process after clearing JEE Mains, which was between the months of June-July of 2018.
