Dtu is a tier 1.5 college not an iit but not a GGSIPU as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is really good, i was always intered in the Engineering perspective of cars, and I must say it tries to deliver but doesnt sicces that well, atleast till now. For example I was really interested to study IC Engines this semester, it was a 4 credit main course, but I got RGautam as a teacher and in lab there are just artificial small models which are cross-section of various engines scaled down. So I felt really bad As I said earlier, the exams are relatively easy.

Internships Opportunities

4

I don't know that as generally that is not disclosed but yes you can get a lot of internship opportunities at decent places, but I believe that while pursuing bachelor's degree you should not worry about earning as we don't know much yet but rather on learning skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee is roughly 2.5l without hostel. There is thankfully jo extra fee such as lab fee development fee etc. There is a consetion for ews candidates, and also for people without an ews certificate but family income lower than 6lpa. They get varied degree of scholarship based on merit. Student loans are available, as I mentioned above under 6lpa fee consetion is available. There is a dell sponsorship based on merit where you can recieve a free laptop

Campus Life

4

Dtu has it as it's strong suite. I don't think so I need to explain much here, we have engifest and many other fests. But recently these fests are getting cancelled a lot and the funds are not being released for these fests. The general crowd is also very different now, most of the people would rather enjoy haryanvi and punjabi songs so that is what is many times targeted which I personally don't like. But that is subjective. I would advice you to joint atleast any one tech team in your first year according to your interest, you will learn a lot.

Admission

Offcourse I chose dtu as I couldn't get into any iit, if you have a choice of any better branch then env, metallurgy in iit then take it instead. In my opinion tech didn't have that much scope so I didn't take cse in a private college, dtu was the best in India at some time for mechanical engineering so, yeah I chose it and followed my interest.

Faculty

4

The faculty are a mixed bag, sometimes really good sometimes really bad. All the DCE faculty are really good most of the time but some faculty will just not teach you anything, have a massive ego etc. I liked prof RC Singh, RKS, Pk Jain and many more, i didnt like R Gautam, as he doesn't teach in the class. There 4 exams in a year, they are relatively easy if you study one week prior you can score well. The course is extremely relevant but a little outdated. Like they are teaching me Electrical eng subject in this sem but it doesn't have ac motors but old dc motors, but it does have the charging and discharging circuits etc.

Night Life

4

Great nightlife inside the college, people play basket ball late night and it's chill, outside tho is not good. It's in a very bad area, its a non rera slum adjacent with the wall, if I was able to make my point through!

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.
