Remarks

Eligibility- B.Sc/ B.tech in any branch of life science with 55% marks. BMLT students are also eligible. Application form- available on the WBJEE website: Exam name- Jemas pg Application dates- March Reserved seats- 50 percent Application fees-3000. The admission process is very clear after giving Jemas pg entrance exam rank card published according to the rank they take admission.

I chose this course because this course is under medical institute which gives me benefits on company jobs and research in the institute. In this subject, I will get a chance for a job in a pharmaceutical, Lab, research lab, industry, etc. In our stream Total faculty of -7. Students -10 The exam will be held yearly in 2 years 2 exams are held. All 7 teachers are done with Ph.D. They all are helping and give good guidance.

Cipla, Aurobindo many pharmaceutical companies are getting students from here. On Stem cell On Cervical cancer On Biochemistry On DNA RNA etc many types of projects are done by our scholars. For an internship at first write an application to hod of tropical medicine attached the CV attached the permission of hod.

Placement Experience

2nd-year student after submitting their thesis or dissertation are eligible for placement Out of 10, only 2 students are getting chanced. Interviews are taken by companies depending on the rank of the interview they take students as a molecular biologist. I want to pursue Ph.D. after the degree completion.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees -30000/yr. Course- 2yr. Scholarship - Swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship. Inspire scholarships are available. Campus job - every year 2 students are getting jobs from here via campusing as a molecular biologists.

Campus Life

Libary - it is very big all types of medical, parasites books and nature, cell, springer, etc. Journals are available in library. In the month of April academic festivals are held. Our laboratory is very good and the classroom is medium. In the lab all types of things equipment are available. Because this is a hospital so no sports activities are present here but cultural programmes are held.

Actually this is a general degree University , so I must mention that placement facalities are not so good. But yes , Job Fair is organised in University by some external agencies which offer jobs varying 2-2.5 lakhs per annum . But in the university most of the students do not accept that jobs. Half of the students are more interested on the higher studies. So ahet completing the fourth semester they prepare for PhD. And the another half are preparing for central government sponsored exams like CGL, CHSL, RRB, SBI , IBPS, LIC etc. University has a significant number of students who have qualified for Government Competitive exams.

Placement Experience:

My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.
