The students who have a science stream in class 12th and have an aggregate of above 84% are eligible for this course and for this university. The basic eligibility criteria are the DU CET test that is given after your 12th examination for giving this test you have to be 85% aggregate on the best 4 of your 12th subjects there are some reservation benefits are available for migraines foreigners and OBC st and ST categories. I Choose this course because my subject is the same as what we study in this course of Beyonce in computer science we have pursued IP in a class 12th examination I have a computer background for my family 2 this helps me to qualify DU CET. FACULTIES AND TEACHING METHODS ARE AMAZING ACCORDING TO THE YEARLY FEES. Teachers are well qualified and very polite with the students they help you on every step you need to be grown up this is the best course or the university that make you industrial ready. I want to learn about technology so I choose this course.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many students get scholarships. From the 3 semesters the students having a CGPA of 8.5 can a wheel placement benefits but after getting the interview done the placements for students who are brilliant in English communications and presentation skills are not going to be in turn all the placed if you do not have one of these things be ready to be a supporter and do your best for taking the placement that's all we can say about. And the fees are much more affordable here.

Books of every type are available in our library related to our subjects. The campus is always filled with students and the sports complex is always filled with students playing different games. Organised Hindi month of April to September there are various clubs or you can say groups for your extracurricular activity and enhancement of your creativity you have to be innovative and makes sense of what you study and in what field you are going you can join every club like AMOUR commerce club for all student belongs from commerce background and art and grammar society for the average student who is interested to enhance they are art or English they can join it and simply you can on points or certificate in it the kill help you to grow better to earn better these all social group are run by leaders who are your senior's students and they are very cooperative to be a teach mate.

THE ALL ROUNDER

Likes

The college has a very beautiful greeny campus.
The library is just the best thing that the college has , it is the largest in du, with computers study area all books and magazines newspaper and other necessities.
The students and teachers are very kind helpful ambitious and intelligent , you will learn a lot here.

Dislikes

The administration sometimes works too slowly regarding dew things.
The canteen is very big and food is also nice but in rain water gets concentrated there.

Placement Experience:

it is said that the placements of this college are good and average being 10LPA and 17 LPA the highest. Many companies come for the placement drive every year and many of seniors have got placement in their third year.

College and my 1st year

Likes

All girls college not male allowed in there without permission so everything feels right and safe
Conducts annual fests to change the vibe
Gotta know different types of people from different places

Dislikes

Student often get used to bad habits like smoking and drinking
To many protests everyone is doing protest even for the smallest inconvenience
Some teachers doesn't complete the syllabus they left it and students have to study on their own

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially I wanted to choose physics honours with somehow I felt physics will get me to hard as per by 12 so I choose chemistry honours over physics honours and as if I am doing bsc so yeah it is giving me all the Chemistry by and I feeling alrighting am a learning will help me for job one day the classroom here are very small and very uncomfortable to set and study only thing for teaching I want to change for my department is the classrooms and examination schedule date sheet is also very bad for Delhi University like they change the date sheet 4 to 5 times within a month and till the one is not confirmed so yeah that's things

Dream college or not ?

Likes

Greenery of college campus and surrounding areas
Close metro access and other basic amenities
Diverse crowd which allows good exposure overall

Dislikes

Wifi Network is slow and not available at all places in campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

venky is one of the best college in south campus

Likes

ratio of girls to boys is almost equal and students are well behaved
quality of social interaction is good students are cooperative
college societies are helpful for students and provide good guiding

Dislikes

our campus have 30+ dogs which is sometimes harmful for students
there is a language barrier between students and teachers
EVs faculty is very strict and they are not cooperative

The life at SVC

Likes

The fees is quite affordable, giving you a lot of flexibility for other academic programs/ commitments
The college has a great reputation and brand value
The exposure that the college provides in real life

Dislikes

The infrastructure is old and outdated, has a lot of scope for improvement
The administrative work is very slow and includes too much formalities
Low focus on co curricular activities and sports

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year of their graduation. Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

Likes

the location, nearest metro station ie Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus is at a walking distance of 2-5 mins
the crowd, students are quite decent and friendly.
opportunities, in college itself there are so many opportunities for students to explore through college societies

Dislikes

classes are canceled sometimes without any prior notice which creates a hassle for students coming from far away.

Placement Experience:

the placements of sri venkateswara college are quite good. campus placements are offered for third and fourth year students to the best of my knowledge. the average ctc offered was of 6.43 lacs, highest of 13.4 lpa. many great companies like bain and company, bcg, ey, deloitte, pwc, goldman sachs, accenture, rsa offered placements. in total, 70+ companies came and about 115+ students were placed.

Likes

I like the atmosphere in our college. Our college promotes us to think beyond the boundaries.
We have lush green campus in vivek vihar . Our campus is surrounded by parks and we'll managed societies.
The student in our college share a very good mindset . Each student has some unique qualities or the other .

Dislikes

The faculty is not very good here . The teachers don't listen to problems faced by the students .
Our college's online presence is very disturbed. Our college website lags a lot and there are always issues with attendence.
The authorities are not very well managed .

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

The Honest Opinion about Hansraj College

Likes

The College provides great Exposure to everyone.
The Crowd and Societies of the College are always active and energetic.

Dislikes

The whole structure of Admin office is underdeveloped, which utilizes a lot of our precious time.
Many of the College events are ill-organised.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

The Honest Opinion about Hansraj College

The whole undergraduate admission process of DU is through CUET, except a few exceptions like Law and Enginnering. The Electronics course require Physics, Chemistry and Maths from CUET, 250 marks each and one must obtain 500+/750 to get this course. Reservation benefits are also available. This was my third preference in the preference list after B.Tech (IT&MI) at CIC and CS Hons at Hansraj, which I could not get due to cutoff difference....Read More

Talks with reality

Hansraj college is one of the best colleges under University of Delhi. I have applied for almost every college which offered my course but my dream college was Hansraj for always. In the first round of counselling session, I got ramjas which was my 5th preference according to my list but I upgraded for the second round and then I got hansraj, my dream college. I chose this because the very first reason was its infrastructure, its academic excellence and our most loved shakrukh khan who also studied from here. I didn't get rejected from any college for my course but the other courses for that I have applied for, maths honours, I didn't get the seat in top colleges due to my low score for that course. CUET is the only and most preferred exam according to which admission is allocated to every individual. Cutoffs depends for every other courses and for the admission, the very first step is you must need to appear in CUET exam with proper subject combination according to ur preferred course. Then after result declaration, you need to prepare preference list of your preferred courses and colleges then according to your score, college is allocated to you then you have to accept the seat allocation and need to make the fee payment.
