Remarks
You have to clear a certain rank cutoff in jee mains on jac Delhi counseling with 75% in 12th boards, 65 for st/sc category. There is only counseling related to admissions in which if you clear the cut-off, you're offered admission and you can pay the fee after you're allowed a seat, and the college starts after the last round of counseling. For people who avail reservations, they get a certain relaxation in fee and cutoff scores. There are no improvements I'd like to be made in the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
The only reason I opted for this course was because of its research opportunities in the future. The faculty here is really good with the actually required qualifications and their teaching method is also top-notch if you do try to study every day. The exams are a bit hectic for our batch but normally it wouldn't be the case and there won't be any problems like that, they are kind of difficult to pass if you didn't study anything but if you even skimmed your notes a little bit you can pass easily.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for campus placements after the 7th semester as they can go on and get internships in their 6th and the companies may offer PPOs. There are alot of companies visiting the campus and offering students big packages, around 95% of the students are placed atleast every academic year and the highest package varies from 40lpa to 1cr if it was a great year. For me, I'll be pursuing an ms abroad in my branch or some other research institution and later on maybe even an MBA or try for a Ph.D.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee is 2 LPA per year increasing a little bit every next year depending on your year of admission, it's more affordable than private Colleges but less feasible than other government institutions like the IIT and nits. There are a lot of scholarships you can avail like mcm ( merit cum means scholarship) and some other from the e-district and the admin block helps you with the paperwork and makes it an easy journey.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is pretty good, it's better than most colleges but still, there's dtu and the IITs since nsut is a bit strict on a lot of things. The annual fest moksha is something you'd be hyped for, for over a month before it's a premiere, that whole month is preparation and the end result is spectacular, won't spoil much for you. There are a lot of books in the library and you can issue them or read them even in there without any problems, it's really spacious and the books are taken care of. The classrooms are on par with the modern classrooms with smartboards, air conditioning, comfortable benches and seats, and a good audio interface. The sports grounds are well maintained except for the badminton court in the activity center, there are alot of extracurricular activities if someone wants to participate and grow. Societies are really helpful in making connections and finding what you really want to do or excel in.
