Remarks

My admission was through Jee Main. The cutoff for CSE course was rank around 22000. Application form was found on JoSAA website. IIIT NR also intakes students through their spot rounds and CG reservation initiatives. I think the 50% reservation to NTPC and Chhattisgarh Govt. Students should be reduced so that more talented people present outside the state can get admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because of my deep passion for coding and conputer science. Also, the institute started a new course on Data Science and AI which made aligned towards this institution. The faculty student ratio here is quite decent (around 25:1). All of the professors/ assistant professors here are highly qualified and have pursued their PhDs from prominent college across India. The term exams are timely (but we disrupted a bit in some semesters due to CoVid 19) and some of the courses are really tough and you need to study really jard to score good in them.

Placement Experience

5

The students are eligible for campus placements before 7th semester (after summer break of third year). Students have to do 6 months internship in the companies for their entire 8th semester. Last year, 45 companies visited our college for campus placements. The highest on- campus offer was 23 lakhs pa and average package is 12-13 lakhs. We have a 100% placement ratio since our inception. My plan is to go for Masters in USA after my BTech.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees is less as compared to other NITs and IITs. The cost to study is also minimal. There are many financial assistance schemes but they are limited to certain states/ low income families. I couldn't avail any financial assistance as I didn't fall into any of the categories. I got an off campus internship to work at Goldman Sachs this summer. They are giving me a stipend of 1 lakh per month for 2 months.

Campus Life

5

The annual techno-cultural fest is named Technovate. It is conducted by the Student Activity Centre (SAC). It is conducted in the month of March. Also, the entrepreneurship cell conducts E-Summit to promote the spirit pf entrepreneurship among young students. The library isn't well equipped, we have a very few books and the library is really small. But if you want something and request it to the faculty, they can make it available in the library. Sports are played daily in our campus. We have a football ground, basketball court, volleyball courts, badminton courts, TT tables, cricket ground and many more. Also, we conduct an annual intracollege fest named Aaramb. SAC is the social group under which numerous coding, quizzing, ML, singing, debate, dance, drama clubs are run for and by the students

Hostel Facilities

4

All the students need to stay in the hostel compulsorily. We are alloted single rooms (or double room for single person) to stay. All the basic facilities are present on each floor ( Water, bathrooms, fire extinguishers, etc). The food quality is sometimes good but sometimes it is not edible. The mess committee works really hard on improving the menu. There is no seperate registration process for hostel.

Placement Experience:

Final year students are eligible to appear for campus placements which starts towards the end of their 7th semester. Companies that visited for Civil Engineering: L&T, Adani, Stratview Research, PlanetSpark and several local firms. The highest packages were offered by Adani (approx 7 LPA) and L&T (6-7 LPA). Around 5-7 students received placement offers from the mentioned companies. It is important to note that a lot many students did not sit for campus placements as they had different career aspirations (government jobs, higher education, business ventures etc.) My plans were to prepare for upcoming competitive government exams as well as try my hand at something different and creative

Yeah ,the course in terms of comprehensiveness is really satisfactory. I have some issues with sequence of subjects which are covered ,but there is no compromise with the comprehensiveness. So I would rate good that too .

1. Students from seventt semester and onwards are eligible for the campus placements. 2. There are ample numbers of comapnies visited in our college like schneider electric, bpcl, bhel, bhel, reliance, catterpillar, eil, and so on. As per the last year data around 130 comapnies made in to our campus and they offered around 800 plus offers to various studenst of different departments. 3. The highets package offered this year is 60 lakhs that is offered by DE Shaw and average package is something around 11 laks per annum 4. Taking considerations of students of all departments, almost 70 percent students get placed. 5. Presently my plan after getting degree is to get into a job.

Microtex, HCL, Wipro and many other IT companies gives us research projects and also their work as well. So, we basically have indirectly worked for them and the ones they feel can add more to their organization comes with a clear mind and take us with a package that we expect them to. So, placements are purely on performance as those who perform well are given best of placements.
