The Reality of IIIT Naya Raipur!! 100% placements?

Curriculum is strictly abiding thr other IIITs keeping the current real world application in IT industry though more focus can he given on coding. Since only end term exams happen, no mid terms so theres a lot to study but the pressure is wuite less as we have more time but wuestions are tough if not repeated. They are 3 hour exams of 50 marks which is purely subjective type.

Students become eligible for placements from 7th semester. We have alot of companies visting us namely American Express, Adobe, Microsoft, Infosys, etc with Average Package around 12lacs and highest above 50 lacs, off campus around 2Cr with 99% students being places every year though Im planning to do an MBA so prepping for CAT

Year wise fees around 2.1lacs (odd+even sem) Semester fees around 1.04lacs which includes 75000 Tution fees, 1000 Registration Fees, 1000 Exam Fees, 500 Internet Fees, 600 Student Amenities, 250 SAC, Medical Insurance 1000, 1000 Laboratory Contigency, Hostel Rent 1500, Mess Fees 15000, 2500 Electricity, 2500 Hall Establishment. Yes all types of government funded scholarships are available and the fees for Sc/St varies.

Anuual fest Technovate is held every year during soring mainly Feb-March. There are hundreds of books available in our library and also access to E-library. We have fully Air conditioned classrooms with smartboards and also blackboards. We bave annual 3 day sports comprising of football, boleyball, basketball, table tennis, cricket, etc and our college as various courts, grounds and a sport complex. We hace a lot of clubs including photography, media, dance, quiz, coding efc and each have their own events wuth E-Summit being the flagship one.

We get double shared rooms in first year which is upgraded to single rooms in 3rd where we get a chair, a bed w matress, a table. a fan and a balcony with well furnished tiles and newly whitewashed walls. Mess food quality isnt that good or tasty but the menu is good keeping in mind how cheap it is. Since hostel is compulsory therefore theres no separate need to reguster for it.

Based on my JEE score i could have got admission to a lot of IIiTs and NITs but as U was getting CSE here so i opted for IIITs, also based on its location, not being in south it was also a factor along with its own campus and minimal fee structure.

Faculties are either from IITs or NITs mostly, their major focus is research papers, not course completion. Coureses are well versed with the other IIITs keeping the current IT requirement in mind kaking it a bit tough for students in the first few semesters. There are total of eight semesters and the number of subjects keep decreasing each semester with last semester solely dedicated to internship.Only end term exams happen which is for 50 marks and quite tough while the rest 50 is divided on class tests, viva, practicals based on faculty.

There is no nightlife as the collge is situated far away from main city with college in time being 10:30pm and hostel intime being 12 but since canpus is big enough we can do a lot of things inside, we have a gym, library, cafeteria. a canteen, a supermarket and a few tapris outside.
