NIT Raipur is a remarkable college!!

Basically it was all about alloys that what metals should be mixed in waht. So top physics and chemistry made the core of our subject and it was tough to get through. Coal India and ONGC have included their researches in our studies and this made it more competent than even the IITs.

All the metals and mining companies be is JSW Steel, Tata Steel, or government companies like the Coal India and others were the ones that provides us placements. Our placements were amazing as we had the least students anf barring a few all are placed.

NIT Raipur which is Chattisgarh's only NIT is one of the best as in this region no other colleges offers Mettarugical Engineering. The fees for NIT Raipur is 1.4 lakhs a year and hostels which are mandatory the fees was 64000 a year for that.

For academic purpose there are three buildings in all and that's less. Also our campus was much smaller that what NITs in general have. There was just one playground and it was mostly occupied by the boys. Luckily hostels were good and that was the best part of our infrastructure. Fests and all were there and actually there were quite many of those.

There are three girls hostel in all and after first year it's a twin sharing room. So for the last three years I stayed in the same room with same room partner and it was fun as hostel rooms were good and even the mess that served us food was quite clean and hygienic.

AIEEE is how you get admission in NITs. Higher the rank the more higher branch and NIT you get. NIT Surathkal was my first choice but got NIT Raipur and happy for that as I atleast got the branch I wanted.

At NIT Raipur and especially for our department specialized faculties were called upon as only IITs and NITs and some special private universities offer this course. All our faculties were IITians and also had a practical life spent on it so the teaching too had a more practical approach from them.

NIT Raipur has a very strict timing rules when it comes to hostel timings as 7 pm is the curedew time. There was a CCD outlet and Dominos nearby our campus and obviously few restaurants and cafes were also there as our college was not much far from the main city.
