Remarks
The admission process was smooth and all the instructions were clear. There is no entrance exam however the cut-off of almost every course is high. The staff is friendly and supportive. Scholarships for reservation candidates are available in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had a special interest in financial markets, which made me choose this course after my HSC. We had approximately 6 subjects for each semester. All the professors are highly qualified with a good year of teaching experience in their respective fields.
Internships Opportunities
The Placement Cell of SK Somaiya Degree College of Arts, Science, and Commerce invites companies all around the year for placements and internships for students. Companies both well established and start-up provides internship opportunities to students.
Placement Experience
All the final year students are eligible to attend the career fest organized by the Placement Cell of SK Somaiya. Companies visit our campus during February - March. Many companies visit our college and they provide a wide variety of job profiles to the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
In the entire duration that I have been studying at SK Somaiya, there has been no fees hike of any sort. In fact, when the COVID pandemic was at its peak my college waived off fees of students who did not have the ability to pay fees.
Campus Life
We have a huge campus with 6+ colleges inside the campus premise. Each college has its own fest every year and invites every somaiyan student irrespective of their institution. At my college i.e SK Somaiya our cultural fest is organized by the cultural forum and has different themes every year. The campus looks really lively and fun during the fest season. There are projectors available in every classroom and a well-equipped IT lab for students.
