Remarks

You need to pass 12 the board exam with a good percentage. The application form will be found on the university website. The infrastructure of the college is good. But some improvements are needed, like the laboratory enhancement.

I chose this course as I always wanted to study agriculture since my childhood. The faculty is good. Every professor is student-friendly and their teaching method is well. All professors are Ph.D. qualified. Exams are semester-based. Well, preparation is needed to pass exams.

Class Size: 300Course Fees: INR 14150 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Sem fees are 7075. Any government scholarship can be availed. Financial assistance is given. Placement is available sometime. The job offers come from a seed company, fertilizer company, Flipkart, Amazon, etc.

Campus Life

The annual fest is conducted during Jan-Feb month. The library is enriched. Various kinds of books are available. The classrooms are well furnished. Opportunities for playing cricket, badminton, volley are there. The student welfare committee is there.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good.Rooms are neat and clean. Meal quality is moderate. Veg and non veg available. Registration for hostel is done at the time of admission and it's affordable. There is common room in hostel.

Something is better than nothing

Course Curriculum Overview:

Seat limit has been decreased into a little amount.So, getting chance is more difficult .there are 3 faculties agriculture, horticulture, agriculture engineering.In agriculture faculty so many departments are there ,but seat limit is less.In total seat,80%is for domicile students of West Bengal and 20%for icar accredited university students.In that 80% 70% for university home students and 10% for rest of the domicile students.

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..

BCKV, a place to cherish forever.

You have to secure good percentage in Higher Secondary and clear the cutoff (More than 90%) to get into UG. You have to clear cutoff of University exams to get into PG/PhD. Eligibility is 12th with P+C+B or vocational with related subjects from any board. Students can also get admission from ICAR AIEEA (UG) exam. Application forms are available on the official website of the university ( https://bckv.edu.in ) when the application portal is opened. The date varies from time to time, generally, the application starts after the result of the 12th board exam is published. Yes, there are reservations for SC ST OBC students, General EWS students also get the benefit of reservation. In each semester there is one midterm one practical evaluation and one final end term for each course in a semester. Difficulty level is moderate.
