Remarks

The admission process is very smooth. Students get admission by looking at their merit. We can directly go to the campus or apply through the college website. Cut off to get admission would be 50% and above.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I had already opted for mathematics during my graduation year and so I further carried it to complete my master degree. The faculty of this college are excellent with their job. They are very knowledgeable and very friendly with the students. Along with the studies, the teachers inspire students with moral support. Most of the teachers a very highly qualified PhD degree holders. Term exams are hard but also easy at the same time due to the sessional exams and tests conducted from time to time.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internship opportunities are given to engineering department students. They are also taken for industry visits from time to time. Being a student in the mathematics department we don't get internships but we do get a lot of opportunities to attend various seminars.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the final year, a student becomes eligible for campus placements. Companies like Microsoft, Wipro, byju's and a lot more recruit students for placements. The highest salary package is 900000 per annum whereas the average salary is 600000 per annum. On an average 80-90% students get placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike is yes a bit of a concern for students but a scholarship to locals has helped to gain quality education. Masters in Science (Mathematics), a course of 2 years costs 200000. There are no campus jobs.

Campus Life

5

Annual fests are conducted in a very very grand manner every year. One such fest is kaalrav a 3 day programme where students explore their creative side. Participate in different cultural events like sports, dance, music and a lot more. There is one big library where books for different departments are available. Sports are also encouraged on the campus as there is a big ground for football and cricket A separate court for volleyball. A swimming pool and a gym is a also available.

Placement cell is available in the University but it is not active for most of the department available right now. Also considering the remote location of the university and the department from every field are not actually eligible for placement such as History.

Since the most important aspect of our course is field Work, what can be better than experiencing field Works in the Himalayas. Himalayas are the best place to apply your theoritical knowledge to the field. Not only field living in Himalayas means every single second you are watching and learning something about Geology. Improvement can be done in increasing the numbers of field works, we go for 14days field training twice in the course.
