Remarks

For admission in Bsc Data Science one must be good in maths and computer science. Application form can be collected from admission cell in main campus during college hours There were no applicantion fees during my admission.... only admission fees was taken from me No, I don't think they need any improvements in the admission process they are already at their best

Course Curriculum Overview

First of all I was interested in this course as it suits my passion. Faculty is around 10 teachers in our department whereas students are 27 so I guess the ratio is pretty good. Teachers are highly qualified and they are filled wtih knowledge. They are ready to repeat any things that is hard to understand they are calm and relaxed. They dont get all worked up unnecessarily There are three exams conducted for us internal assessment, mid term assessment and end semester assessment... these are all conducted time to time and I have no idea how difficult it is to pass as we have gave our exams through online mode only

Internships Opportunities

Companies like TCS, Cognizent, Intel, Acolite, CGI, etc come to campus for to offer placements and from my department the most offered roles are data engineer, data analyst, data visualisation expert, etc with an average stripend of 12K/month I have not got any internship till now as I will be getting internship from next semester onwards

Placement Experience

Students get eligible for internship and campus placements from 5th sem onwards Companies like TCS, cognizent, etc are there for placement The highest paid package is around 8LPA and average is 4LPA as data scientist and data engineer role Around 88% of students got placed in 2021 I will most probably persue masters after this course

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no fees hike till now and cost to study is around 410000 excluding exam fees it is 2000 per semester Scholarship in west bengal there's a minority scheme of aikyashree which is available in college too and I am still to be placed for an internship or job

Campus Life

No fest have yet been conducted due to corona crisis Books are available in library and book for each sem is provided at the starting of sem from college Well air conditioned and maintained classroom with projector and classrooms are big enough with huge space for students will not feels conjugated No sports or social clubs been organised till now at least in online mode

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
