Remarks

The eligibility for the course was based on cutoff percentage. One single form was to be filled out from the official site of Delhi University to be able to apply to all colleges under DU. If you did not have political science in your 10+2, your cutoff percentage will increase.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum in the first year is a mix of what you have already studied in the humanities stream in +2 and new material. The class strength is around 70 students. The teachers are all qualified with Dr. Degrees and take care of the needs of students very well.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 9000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships vary from unpaid to stipend. Usually, first-year students are not offered paid internships. The placement cell takes care of internships by collaborating with various companies. The tasks vary from HR to sales, to content writer to a graphic designer.

Placement Experience

The college has a placement cell society that regularly provides students with internship and job opportunities. Nutriage is one such, that provided an internship. Mostly 3-year students are recruited for paid jobs but internships are offered to most all year students

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid around 9k for my first year. There are many scholarship opportunities available for students. Students can fill out a form available on the college website, fill it with their details and get it signed by the principal to be eligible to claim scholarships.

Campus Life

There are various clubs and societies to choose from. Clubs like creative writing, art, painting, dancing, musical, etc., and societies like Enactus, Placement cell, poletia, kalpdhara, etc. You could also join NCC/NSS/Sports. Some societies, clubs require interview selections.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

SRCC has one of the best campuses and our basketball court is so famous that many movies too have been promoted and shot there. Our campus is big too and our auditorium is such that many top personalities have come and spoken there. Even leaders like Barrack Obama too had an interaction with SRCC students in an open air event.

Kalindi: The off Campus Star of DU !

There were several Reasons to choose Kalindi: It's an all girls college so it felt comparatively more Safer than the Co-ed ones. Also, this might be an unpopular opinion but the Boys were not there to make mischiefs so there was a good built-in environment for Study. Girls were there to manage each and everything. Either it was NCC, NSS, Sports, Societies or even Student Union, girls were incharge of literally everything and it used to feel very proud and wholesome.
