Remarks
IIM Udaipur's MBA program is really good and the application fee for the admission form was Rs.1000-1200. I applied through the college's website online application form. It is ranked among the top 20 MBA colleges in India. You need 97+ in CAT at least. Reservation benefits are given to the needy ones. The admission process is very smooth. The final selection was made based on my profile, the CAT cutoff score, the Personal Interview (PI), and the WAT.
Course Curriculum Overview
I knew I wanted to pursue MBA in Finance only. When it comes to the teaching faculty, the ratio of faculty to the student is 1:20. Almost all the teachers are doctorate or industry professionals. there are 6 trimesters in 2 years and exams are held twice every trimester with a moderate difficulty level.
Internships Opportunities
Summer internships are for first-year students only. The average stipend is around 1.5 lakhs and the highest goes around 2.5-3 lakhs as per the latest records. Companies like Flipkart, Genpact, L&T, Wipro, ACT, Pidilite come to campus for summer placements. Roles offered are Sales, research, Supply chain, IBD, etc.
Placement Experience
Final year students are eligible for final placements. The average stipend goes around 25 lakhs and the highest is around 45-50 lakhs. companies like coca-cola, Flipkart, Google, American Express, Tata, GE, Goldman Sachs, Titan, etc visit the campus for placements. Almost 100% batch gets placed in one go.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course costs roughly 15-16 lakhs in total. Hike policy is normally 5%, but it depends as it is a government institution. Financial aid is also available to students whose family income is less than Rs.6 lakhs. Aside from that, the Government of Rajasthan both offers scholarships for state students.
Campus Life
There are several functional and professional clubs like marketing, finance, operations, cultural clubs, sports as well. Books and journals are available online. There are small academic groups as well. I'm a member of a photography club and a literature club. There are annual and cultural fests as well which happen in the month of March and July.
Interview Experience
The process of all the IIMs is almost the same. CAT score, as well as academic records, were the criteria used by the Institute to select all applicants. Personal Interview is the next step, during which a panel reviewed several parts of my academics, past internship experience, and family background. I prepared with the help of my friends in IIM and mock interviews.
