IIM Udaipur Review

I chose this course because of the nice and well-reputed faculty members of the institute. The curriculum is well-designed and suits the needs of the industry that one wants to get into. The student-faculty ratio is 10:1, which is quite good. All the faculties are Phd holders. Some have quite an interesting and comprehensive industry experience. The term-end exams happen timely, at the end of the semester, which consists of almost 3 months. The exams check your qualitative and quantitative knowledge both. They are moderate in difficulty parameters as they check the overall understanding of the student.

Companies like Titan, Pidilite, Amazon, etc come for marketing roles. Others like Accenture Strategy, PwC, EY, Tiger Analytics, etc come for consulting roles. Many other corporates like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, etc come for finance roles among others. The average stipend is 1.46 lakhs

Students become eligible in the fifth semester. They can sit for placements in the companies of their interest and choice. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, ICICI, Titan, TATA, JP Morgan, Math Company, etc come to campus. 100% of students get placed with an average package of 20 lacs.

Currently, the fee is 22 lacs. It is increasing every year, as many other IIMs are doing. There are various scholarship opportunities for meritorious students, who top their classes and overall as well. There is provision for financial assistance also for people who needs them. The institute checks the eligibility and provides it accordingly. As with most IIMs, the campus placement is quite good here. It has been achieving 100% placement records year after year.

Annual Cultural Fest- Audacity, happens in Feb Management Fest- Solaris, happens in October Other than these, there are several clubs and committees for finance, HR, marketing, operations, etc. Several cultural committees as well. The classrooms are well furnished with all modern technologies and a proper biometrics attendance system. The campus has a gym, sports, yoga, dance, and music facilities.

There are 13 clusters. Each cluster has a varied no. of rooms for students. All the rooms are for single occupancy with full AC and 24*7 power backup services. All the students are required to register for hostel accommodations. The meal quality is moderate, which the institute can work on and make it better.

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from any reputed institution. They should have minimum perentage of 55%. After checking eligibility, they have to take CAT, which usually takes place in month of november every year. The form for CAT can be found on iimcat.ac.in Fill out the form and choose all the IIMs you want to participate in. The cut off for Udaipur was 92 percentile. Apart from overall cutoff, sectional cutoff needs to be cleared as well.

IIM Udaipur conducts interviews under CAP. It usually consists of PI only. The questions in PI can range from your personal background to your academic background to your hobbies and interests. The questions would aim to know your overall personality and how you can add value to the institution. To prepare it, start with knowing yourself, which includes your family, state, country, aspirations and motivations.
