An institute worth considering.

The reason as to why I chose this university was because of its infrastructure and the diverse range of research that this university concentrates on, which would be instrumental for me to apply to foreign institutes for higher education.

The reason I chose computer science was because I had been interested in the subject ever since 9th grade. Furthermore, a CSE degree would provide me with rewarding opportunities in the future. The courses are well structured and faculties do a good job of explaining us the concepts well. It is a well rounded learning experience with a proper balance between theoretical and practical applications. The labs are supplied well which helps her to pursue the research concentration that we are interested in. The examinations test us on our concepts and are well constructed.

I have not opted for any internship as of now, as internships are mostly offered in the third year.

The placement opportunities are decent for the computer related branches. The placements are also good for branches such as ECE and EEE. Most of the students out here opt for higher studies at foreign institutes. However, the placements at lower branches are not as attractive as the circuital branches. The students become eligible for PPOs from the 3rd year, and it is mostly in the final year that students start getting placed. The average salary stands at 5.4 lpa while the highest touched 21 lpa.

The life at campus is vibrant. There are a multitude of events which are organized on the campus every year. Furthermore, the fests at Manipal are some of the best in India. The infrastructure has a number of amenities for you to avail. The library is well stocked with all relevant books required for coursework. Marena, the activity centre of Manipal offers facilities for a number of sports, which is well equipped too.

The fees are a tad bit on the higher side as it is a private institute. However, if you do feel that the fees are on the higher side for you, you always have the liberty to apply for financial assistance from MAHE, as I believe they have a few scholarship schemes.

The infrastructure of the campus is commendable. The labs are well equipped, and it helps us in performing the experiments and research that we are interested in. The wi-fi is moderately strong in the hostels. Marena, the student activity center in Manipal has most of the sports facilities that you could ask for. The library is well equipped with all the relevant books required for coursework.

I have opted for hostel. There are different hostels available. You can opt for shared room, a double occupancy room, or a single occupancy room, and the prices will vary accordingly. The prices for rooms also vary on the basis if the rooms are air conditioned or not. The meals at hostels are decent, and we have the option of consuming a variety of meals.

The admission was based only on the basis of merit, depending upon your rank in the Manipal Entrance Exam. There weren't any Group Discussions or Interviews for admission.
