Remarks

DU is one of the best institutions of higher education in India. Being a resident of Delhi, choosing Delhi University wasn't a difficult decision. No regrets for this decision.UG admissions are merit based. Reason of preferring this college which I've chosen is it's located in North Campus and also convenient for me, considering the distance.collegedunia.com was one of the most used while selecting college for my course.

I'd chosen this course because Mathematics was one of the subjects I knew I could go forward in. Faculty to Student Ratio: 1:8Faculty of Mathematics department in my college was good. Neither bad nor excellent. Teaching methods were moderate; usual I felt.One semester consists of mid semester exams, assignments, practicals, final exams. Few class tests, but not very often.If you've got into one of the DU colleges and still are regular in studies, it isn't difficult to pass exams.

There's a placement cell for placement and job opportunities. I remember attending an event which was held in sports ground, specifically for placements. Students from our as well as other colleges were there to attend the same.

College Events

Annual Fest of our college is known as Manjari. Our Mathematics department's fest is called Shoonya. Manjari is conducted in March and Shoonya in February.Library has many number of books; arranged neatly in separate racks for different subjects. It's Air-conditioned and has nice seating capacity.There are sports event which go on for two days, from morning to evening.There are societies for dance, singing, fashion, drama, etc., so there are regular events for each of the societies, too.Each society has a name by which they run Instagram and Facebook accounts.

Campus Life

Infrastructure of Daulat Ram College might not be the best in the north campus but it still comes under a good infrastructure category. There's a large sports ground at the one side of which there's a sports complex. Library has quite good seating capacity.Our Mathematics lab has been one of the favourite places to sit.

Admission

No, I hadn't gone through any interview or entrance exams for admission.It was merit based. There weren't any entrance exams for UG courses in 2018.

DTU FROM A FRESHER'S PERSPECTIVE

Campus placements begin in final or fourth year. So from 7th semester students become eligible for on campus placement.From 5th semester or 3rd year students are eligible for on campus internships with very good package. In Nsut all top companies like Google, microsoft ,adobe, amazon, flipkart and many more visit.Around 300 companies visit each year. Highest package in 2024 is 83lpa in cse branch and 18 lpa average.In cse placement percentage is 70%, and in ee it is lower around 40%.

NSUT- A rollercoaster but definitely must have experience.

After internship season gets over, placement season starts with starting from 7th semester. At the start a lot of good product based companies visit and gradually the package offered start decreasing. The placement season lasts for full one year and around 90-95% students get placed. Insights into DRC

After appearing for CUET UG, we make preferences of the desired college and on the basis on the CUET score, colleges are alloted. So, Daulat Ram College was my 7th preference and I was alloted this as per my category and cut off I cleaned. Although it was 7th preferred college, I have no regret of getting into it. Good internship opportunities

The admission process till last year in University of Delhi was on the basis of 12th std marks, but from this new session(2022-2023) there is an entrance test CUET. The eligibility for the same was the student must've cleared 12th board exams and the application form was available on NTA official site. People with reservations(SC, ST, OBC etc..) do get a lot of benefits like for them the marks are less for getting a good college as compared to non- reservation seats.
