Bachelor in Mass Media is a demanding course offered from the Jai Hind College. The course gives clear understanding about news and emphasizes on true fact. HS degree in a recognized university is required for the admission. The value of the courses is to improve the employability of the students. The admission is based on merits.

Course Curriculum Overview

Bachelor of Mass media course includes fundamentals of mass communication, communication skill, sociology of news and social movements. Journalism, advertising, public relations etc are presented to the students with written, spoken or visual format.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Placement Experience

Too many companies get placement after graduation. During the Pandemic the placement process is held in online. Nearly 70 - 80% students got placement. The average salary was Rs 3 - 4 LPA and the highest salary was Rs 8-9 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Hindu College is available for meritorious scholarships. There are reserved category of OBC and SC/ST who are given scholarships from external website during their studies. The scholarship amount is enough to bear their program expenses.

Campus Life

Teachers and students both take the responsibility for the welfare of the campus. There is a beautiful large garden in the campus which attracts the travellers. Different types of events reveal the secularism of campus.

College Life

Likes

The faculty it’s very nice and filled with knowledge.
The teachers are very friendly and helpful really like the campus and the canteen
Gives us opportunity to internships and the vents that take place in my college are really awesome especially Jallosh really live taking part in events

Dislikes

As students of BAMMC we did have a lot of physical activities like shooting short films and all
Last year our field trip was canceled but they did take money from us
For farewells they take contributions from the students only we did not have a freshers party either

I wanted to go in the media field and this course was the best option it gives me an output of what I'm gonna face in the real world How things work in the media industry We have exams every 4 months but before our Sem exams we have internals and we have to submit assignments We could have more outdoor activities and not just theory

Just a small review from my side.

Likes

Teacher were to helpful and supportive. I really respect them and lucky to find them as my mentor there. Also They were good in their respective field and I personally grow because of them only.
Management were to good as they respond fastly.
Classmates were like a family. They never let me feel home sick.

Dislikes

Infrastructure was too boring and old. It’s too small and just a 2 floored building.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course. It helped me in my personality building and also I learned new things like- Video and photo editing, handling cameras, communication skills, Acting, Advertisement writing and shooting, and many more. Class strength is good as they allow 25-30 students for one course. Faculties were too supportive and masters of their own fields. They take 2 internals and 1 final exam at the end of the semester which is of 6 months.

Intimidating and out if the box youth years

Placement Experience:

There was an amazing experience of placement mostly 67 percentage of the students got placed and major companies like tata Birla reliance jk Sanghvi visited the campus and the average package was 7 lakh.

Live your Dharma Dreams at Jai Hind College

I had applied for St Xavier's College Mumbai and Mithibai College Mumbai. I got into St Xavier's and decided to not go ahead with the admission because of the nature of the curriculum offered there. According to me, BMM is a practical course and requires practical knowledge and experience that Xavier's college couldn't offer.
