Entrance Preview

My family is from jai hind, my sister was studying there and Late Principal Shivdasani & Late Mrs Mohini Dias were two sparkling personalities I'd see in campus when I would visit my sister. Being interested in media, I applied for BMM and took the entrance exam and I remember being interviewed by Late Mrs Dias who recognised me, thanks to my sis. Great college, professors, experience and amazing classmates. Wish I could go back and eat the amazing keema pav in the canteen

Course Curriculum Overview

5

It was a module based course. We had 6 semester, with 6 modules in each Sem. We had professionals teaching us who would balance work and teaching life along with personal.

Internships Opportunities

In my day, RS 3000 which is very less now but I assume now it's increased. My first job paid me 7500 stipend, a full time job and my internship was for 3 months and it was 3000.

Placement Experience

4

Very good. Didn't avail it but once again they were available and all the details were put up on the bulletin board and the helpful office staff would always update us.Even our professors were helpful when it came to job opportunities as well as our seniors

College Events

5

We would celebrate chocolate day, Valentine's, cultural day, Birthdayy and anything you could think of. I can't think of any other days but we would take part in malhar, kaleidoscope and win them all and come. The principal would personally come and have a look at the preparations and encourage everyone.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible fees. They kept in mind middle class kids and even though mine was a limited course, fees were reasonable. It was which people from different backgrounds could afford and the students too made everyone feel at home

Fees and Financial Aid

Not aware of any. But I do remember reading it in the office. Like I mentioned, Jai Hind had a very helpful staff so any information needed was posted on the bulletin board or could be found out in the office.

Campus Life

5

Very good and very relaxed. Especially about clothes, sitting and working in the corridors or waiting for the next class. They respected us and treated us like adults which is very helpful.

Hostel Facilities

5

The best canteen in Bombay collegesI would give 10/10. Amazing variety for veg & non veg and reasonable prices. Even the people who ran the canteen were helpful.

Alumni/Alumna

Keep up the good work. Great faculty and very interactive and helpful including the office staff and peons:) Didn't feel even once that there was any sort of discrimination or didn't feel like attending. The professors knew we were smart adults and treated us so.

Exam Structure

Semester system is the best. We had enough time to relax and study. Portions were completed in time, if not, extra classes were held. Professors were helpful and would explain if asked zillion times. Project work was also spaced out so we had enough time to study for exams.

Faculty

4.5

The best. All experienced and very understanding and helpful. The one's who knew what they were talking about and could get into discussions with to understand the topic better

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course. It helped me in my personality building and also I learned new things like- Video and photo editing, handling cameras, communication skills, Acting, Advertisement writing and shooting, and many more. Class strength is good as they allow 25-30 students for one course. Faculties were too supportive and masters of their own fields. They take 2 internals and 1 final exam at the end of the semester which is of 6 months.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. There are a total of 6 semesters that are conducted on time. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics such as communication, films, photography, etc.

Placement Experience:

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I'm planning to do a internship in popular media House.
