Remarks
PES University is situated at the silicon valley of India, Bangalore. Its a good choice to apply for MBA at PES as it would give you enough exposure to the industry world. I gave my PGCET exam before applying as the scores are necessary for admission. The university is ranked 76-100 for MBA by NIRF 2021. It's the best B school under VTU. The admission procedure is very smooth and there are no extra charges besides that.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is revised regularly so that we get to study the most recent topics in trend. The two year is divided into four semesters and there are plenty of assignments, quizzes, industry visits and project work. The professors are mostly PhD holders and they are very cooperative. You can choose your specialization between Business Analytics, Finance, Marketing and Human Capital. The exams are easy for those who follow regularly.
Internships Opportunities
The internship provided is satisfactory. The institute provides internship to all its students which start during the second year. Companies come for internships with minimal stipend. It generally runs for 8 weeks but may vary according to company. The internship is required during the fourth semester for project work.
Placement Experience
If we compare the package between B. Tech and MBA students the former package is better. The placements for MBA are not up to the mark though it's improving through years. The students sit for placements after the third semester. The top recruiting companies are Accenture, Deloitte, Wipro Turbo, KPMG, Aricent and others. The average package for MBA is around 4.5- 6 LPA while the highest package is about 10 LPA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
When you compare the fees of PES with other B Schools you find it a bit expensive. The two year MBA costs around 800000 rupees approximately. There are no other charges beside that. There are many scholarships available for the students like MRD Scholarship, Prof. CNR Rao scholarship and many others.
Campus Life
The campus is self sufficient and it has all the facilities required for the students. There are students from all over India and it would make you give you good exposure to the outer world. A variety of events are organized starting from Freshers, annual event, tech event, cultural fest and Farewell party. The campus has a very good study environment. The students are given responsibility and like that we get management experience.
Hostel Facilities
There are accommodation for both boys and girls. The girl's hostel is a bit far but they have special bus for that. The hostels have all the modern facilities thus the students don't have any problems staying at the hostels. The mess provides good food and there are options to choose between Veg and Non Veg meals.
