The admission process starts from filling the form around January each year after the CAT rwsults which gives shortlists around Feb second week inviting students for the PI during first week of March (My interview happened on 8th March 2020)The PI process involved a WAT ( Written ability Test) followed by a Document Verification and then a 25 - 30 Min PI consisting a Panel of 2 professors and 1 Alumnus of the college.Good Aspects:Great opportunities of Supply chain and operationsIIT Bombay InfrastructureCompact Batch SizeEconomical ROIGreat Placement OpportunitiesAcademic LegacyUnderwhelming Aspects:Lesser Batch size hinders visibility among other B SchoolsSlow Adminstrative ProcessFollows IIT Bombay academic calender which is predominantly designed from Engineering point of view.

I chose this course to gain the understanding of Management and Diversify my profile in the other domains other than manufacturingSJMSOM has a great pool of faculty for each department viz. Finance, Operations, Statistics, Economics, HR and Marketing. Faculty to student ratio is about 16 Professors on around 120 Students.The teaching method is very experiencial and case based rather than theories and bookish. Also the pedagogy is very crisp and precise giving very much clarity about the topicsThe electives offered by the faculties are carefully curated and are extremely practical in its application.The semster is divided in two terms each having separate Mid Terms and End Terms.While its not very difficult to just pass in most subjects, it takes a genuine and honest effort in order to achieve good grades.

Great opportunities in both from Placement perspective and also for the people thinking of doing research and higher studies in future.

The life at the campus is excellent as it involves students from more than 100 different degrees and deprtments. Along with that it provides the best peer group possible in India. Apart from that it provides excellent infrastructure in terms of sports, cultural activities and research. IIT Bombay as a university themselvs have several clubs ranging from sports to technical to Arts and literature. Moreover, as a B school SJMSOM also have our own domain clubs (Operations, Finance, Marketing etc.) and Cultural and Sports club as well.

CAT 2019 - 98.3 Percentile

There was no GD but there was Written ability test and Personal Interview. For the PI part, I revised the details and news about my organisation and the industry in general. Also, I revised the mathematics of class 11 and 12 along with the concepts of Operations research. Moreover, I was well ware about the current affairs part.
