Eligibility criteria: You need to be 12th pass from the science stream and get good marks in Neet UG. Apply at dmeassam.gov.in. Everything is given there in a beautiful manner. I want the admission fees to be decreased to some extent.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I wanted to become a doctor. Faculty: student ratio is 1:20. The teachers are Neet PG qualified and teach from slides in a beautiful manner. The term exams are on time except during Covid times. It's somewhat difficult to pass but easier if one studies regularly.
Internships Opportunities
Under internship, we head to the different departments in the hospital viz. Surgery, Orthopaedics, Medicine, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Dermatology, etc It is the most hectic but fascinating time of mbbs. For the first time you get to treat patients and you get your first salary.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees don't hike much per year but during government change sometimes hike by 10-15%. Fees are Rs 32000 which is quite high according to me. I have not applied for any scholarships but there are a lot for poorer and meritorious students.
Campus Life
The annual fest is SYNCHISIS. It is conducted in March. Books and journals are available in the library. The classrooms have good desks and benches and a projector through which digital education is delivered. College Week is held once during which various sports games are played. Social group- GMCSU and JDA.
Hostel Facilities
Facilities provided in the room- Bed, Table, Chair, Wardrobe, 24hr free Electricity. The meal is decent with such a low price. The menu includes Fish, Egg, Chicken and vegetables along with sabzi and dal. Registration is done while college admission.
