Remarks

The main eligibility criteria are 60 in secondary and high secondary boards. I opted for West Bengal joint and my admission process was done by my rank score in that. The application form you can find on CIEM official site and also during counselling choose the college as your choice. Yes, an interview during admission will definitely create a good peer group and also will help to get the best students for the courses.

Course Curriculum Overview

CIEM is always known for great faculty the department and non departmental faculties both are excellent and friendly. The class strength is 120 but our Electrical was divided into two groups EE1 and 2 so the student teacher ratio is quite good. The teaching quality is awesome. There are a total 8 semesters and each semester we have a midterm and end term.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 320000 per year

Placement Experience

Honestly speaking this is not a great place for placements but there are few exceptions in CESC and IT department they do get placed in different IT firms with average of 3.2 LPA. But for core sectors like EE, Civil, ECE it was a hard job for them to get placed from college.

Fees and Financial Aid

If you compare with any other college in Kolkata in fees comparison obviously CIEM will because they are giving the whole B. Tech in minimal cost. Yes, there are scholarships like full fee and half fee and those are given in financial condition for the student.

Campus Life

There are annual festivals and tech fests in CIEM these mainly happen in April-May but it varies. We have 3 blocks one block is classrooms, the second one is indoor labs and the last one is outdoor blocks Every year there were inter department football tournament, inter college cricket tournament, quiz, debate, fashion show and many more things. There are many groups like quiz club, sports club where you can join for spending your free time.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the cirricullum is quite relevent and comprehensive . BTECH program especially CSE includes specializations like data sciene , cybersecurity, IOT, etc . Exams are held twice in a semester . the college could include hand on learning through workshop , industry project and interships .

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester student become eligible for the campus placements. Amul(GCMF) , Mother Dairy, Vidya Dairy, Bhagirathi cooperative, Wamul, ITC are the company's visited and they provide good packages according to the students work in interview. After getting the degree I would pursue my hair studies in Mtech Food Technology from IIT or go to MBA course from IIM. My main goal is to get NDRI National Dairy Research Institute which is top institute for imparting dairy and veterinary courses for MTech Dairy Technology. 70 to 80% of the students are being placed and the packages very from 20 lakh per anum to 40 lakh per annum. After getting BTech degree most of the students preferred to go for higher studies and job. Research line is open for our course. Most girls prefer higher studies and research line and most boys prefer for job.

Placement Experience:

Almost 100% of the students can get placements if they study well and learn well. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA and the average salary package offered is 5 LPA. The main reason behind choosing the college over other colleges is it's electrical department's history. The electrical department has received many awards, certificates for the projects development.
