Course Curriculum Overview

4

Choosing a course depends upon the interest of an individual. After studying chemistry at my +12 level I was so much curious about the experiments and research methods, how they occur, and everything. After getting into Hansraj college which has the best chemistry department, there started a completely new experience in life. The faculty is very good and cooperative. Along with the theoretical knowledge, the practical laboratory experience was very good. All the faculty members were Ph.D. from reputed institutes. Method of teaching is also very good, provides notes and refer good books, gave practical knowledge as well. In total there are 6 semesters. Two semesters per year. In one semester there are internal examinations. Along with that, there are small class assignments and quizzes. After that, there are practical examinations with viva and performing experiments. Then there are the final examination. The final exam papers level is quite moderate and common paper for all the College.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is very nominal in Delhi university. The fee for BSc honors chemistry was around 20000 for one year. This may vary from college to college as well. Also, there is not much fees hike. Apart from that, one can always opt for financial aid. There are many scholarships given by the college. Also, there are many government scholarships as well such as INSPIRE scholarship in which one can get 60k per year up to five years of their graduation and post graduation. But remember one thing at a time a person can avail of only one scholarship. There are many internships available which one can do during their vacation. Also, the placement cells are very good. There are many good on-campus placements with decent packages.

Campus Life

4.5

Delhi University is famous for its fest and cultural activities. The annual fest footfall is also very good. The fest months start from February and end in April. Many famous singers, comedians, TED talks speakers come throughout the year. Apart from that, there are many societies such as National Service Scheme, Environmental Society, Debating Society, Dance Society, arts and fashion society. Also, there are departmental societies. All these societies are very beneficial as one learns communication skills, managing skills, and many more organizing skills. Availability of books is very easy. There is a library which has all most all the books related to the course. Also one can issue the books for the entire year. Classrooms are also good with projector facilities. Sports and other extracurricular activities are provided for all the students. In their free time, students can go and enjoy playing various sports.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested course. It's relevant to the exams in that particular field. The syllabus for life and other exams in this field. I think that there is a lack of actual real life practice in basic courses. If could be made more aligned to what we do in real life it would have been better. The exams are easy enough to pass by just studying one month before exams and submitting the internal assessments properly. There are end semester exams which gives enough time to prepare well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i believe CS hons is a decent course. The curriculum is however, very outdated. We are being taught several topics that have no relevance these days and they arent even taught properly. I believe a far better choice would be doing BTech instead since it has a better course and companies prefer that over BSc CS. In terms of preparing for the real world, i believe this course has no use since the most important parts we have to learn it ourselves. Exams are conducted once at the end of every semester (including practical and theory). However during the semesters, there are multiple tests taken to asses our knowledge regularly

I chose this course because statistics is a rising field and is used everywhere . Also l had a good command on Statistics and maths in 12th standard. I believe that this course is really very relevant for today's world but could be made a bit more practical to be applied in real world situations.
