Remarks

The admission process was pretty much like every other college. They did their best and treated all students and parents with respect. I opted for Computer science engineering and that is the hardest course to get into in btech. I had 3844 keam rank and yet I had to wait till spot allotment to get into the course. Reservation benefits are quite high in this College just like many other colleges. There are many deserved students who did not get the course they opted for. The college does not have many faulty as of now in the admission process. But being an engineering college and knowing the importance of technology, they should probably use online transactions of money. The College does not provide gpay or any mode of the online transaction.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose CSE because it is the most demanded and important stream in the future. Most of Computer science students in our college are placed before they finish their studies. The college provides quite a decent amount of faculties for students. There are more than 3/4 faculties for the same subject due to the large number of classes and students. All the faculties are quite experienced and qualified. All of them have their own teaching method. However not everyone is so indulged in students. You have to work yourself. Term exams come very fast and it is difficult to pass. Many students fail and it becomes a burden in future.

Internships Opportunities

2

There are not so many companies that offer internships in our college. Deepflow is a company that provides internships in our college. There are many events and clubs supported by the college that offers internship and students can opt for them

Placement Experience

3

Students are placed from the 6th semester to the 8th semester. There were many offers this years from companies like BestDoc QBurst Virtusa etc. And large companies like Byjus are yet to come. The highest package for a placed student was 9lakhs per annum .The average package is 3lakhs-8lakhs Almost all students who manage to complete course without suppy are placed somewhere. I plan on taking master's after b.tech.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a full government College, there is not much to complain about fees. But there are many clubs in the college and are quite expensive. But it is not compulsory. I have applied for a central sector scholarship and am waiting for confirmation. The college provides many faculties for administrative office and they're really helpful in applying for a scholarship

Campus Life

3

The Social life at College is so good.No matter where the academics are there is always some events going on. Annual fest and tech fest are not common now because of COVID. Many books are available in the library.Library is a small building as of now.But a Large infrastructure for Librarh being built in the college. The college provides huge support to students interested in sports. There is annual sports meet and College teams for almost every popular games. There is more than 1 physical education teachers and College provides free gym for students There is a Large no. of clubs run by students in the college like IEEE ICI ISTE . Besides these there also entertainment clubs like dance club photography clubs etc.

Other Applied Colleges

Govt college of engineering Thrissur | electronics and communication

I did not have the required rank for it

Placements are really good. Since college is related to ISRO maximum students with cgpa above than 7 are elligible for ISRO interviews and are selected based on their performance. Apart from ISRO many campanies like Texas Instruments, UTS, Mercedez , also come here for recruuitment. Many also opt for M.tech and MBA after graduation

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies - [KUFOS], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Food Technology)
Reviewed on May 11, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.
