Remarks

Admissions are done according to JEE rank, with JAC Counseling. Three rounds of Counseling were conducted. The Counseling is done for various colleges in Chandigarh falling under Panjab University. At all admission process was smooth.

Course Curriculum Overview

Most of the professors are Ph.D., the college gives special attention to research at the undergraduate level. Most of the times students have to find their own way to study, however, teachers are very welcoming and open to discussing things.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are supposed to be done after the 6th semester. Minimum 45 days of the internship is reqd. Many companies visit department campuses offering internships however you can always opt for internships anywhere you want.

Placement Experience

Placements records are good which anyhow obviously suffered during a pandemic. Many big recruiters like Exxon, uop, reliance, Technip visit the campus. Students also seek higher education and some also go for PSUs through GATE.

Fees and Financial Aid

For Chemical And Food tech annual fees is around 25,000(including examination fee). The fee increases by 1000-1500 every year. Apart from it, many scholarships based on states and some other financial aids are provided to a few students based on various criteria available on college website.

Campus Life

The campus life is amazing as you get a chance to study in the prestigious campus of Panjab University in Chandigarh. The university library is equipped with more than 6 lakh books. And the university has one best sports University award from three consecutive yrs.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is given on merit basis and hostels are well equipped with all the facilities including sports, TV rooms, reading rooms and mess/Canteen. Apart from hostel, you can rent a room in around 5000 per person.

Great exposure, Learning and Placements at CU- A well rounded experience

Placement Experience:

I am a recent graduate in computer science with specialization in artificial intelligence and machine learning. i took admission in CU just because of their excellent placements for the computer science students and what i feel is during my journey they provide i'll not say 100% placements that they guys claimed but yes the placement is really good. the average package is of 7-8 lpa and they offered placements globally like in hyderabad, pune, banglore, noida that are considered as best places to work in IT sector. but in my last year i.e 4th year i have been offered a position of software engineer intern in gurugram and that was off campus so i grabbed that opportunity. and there is one policy of chandigarh university if you opt for off campus placement then you get debarred from the TPP campus placements of chandigarh university and you will not be able to sit in the campus placements of chandigarh university. rest overall the campus placement is good.

The Life in Chandigarh University

Placement Experience:

The placement is the one of the strongest region in this college. From 6th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. From 4th semester,there is placement training program which makes students get ready for interviews, tests in placements. There are prominent companies who visited our college like Microsoft, Google, Infosys, TCS, Wipro etc. The highest package offered by a company is Rs. 54LPA and average placement is Rs.8LPA. 90% of eligible students gets placements. My plans after degree is to study MBA and get into entrepreneurship and business.

Placement Experience:

After the sixth semester, we are eligible for placements. many multinational companies visited for placement such as Amazon, Google, Wipro and many more. The highest package is 36 lack per anum. Around 600 companies offer placement on campus every year.

A TRUSTED COLLEGE FOR A SAFE FUTURE

Placement Experience:

The campus offers good placement in amazon and other high digital online platforms. The placement completely depends on the rank of the students. Many companies such as Amazon and Birla group have visited the college. They also offer good jobs abroad with attractive salaries. Mostly in a year almost 30% of students are placed in job by the college itself. Rest 50% will surely get jobs in good companies if they have good academic statistics. After getting the degree, I would like to get job in foreign country like America and would like to settle there as the college also offers job in abroad.

I was ready to choose btech course (civil engineering ).collage faculty was more than i expected. Collage was more friendly. As in the case of students was very good at college. And also our teachers are more friendly in studies and helping the students in studies.During the examination our teachers works well. And they are able to make the students to score good marks. Collage conduct exams as 4 sections in a year.

Dr. SSBUICET is one of the best chemical engineering colleges in North India

To get admission in B.E Chemical at SS BHATNAGAR UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY you should score at least 65% marks in 12th grade and then you have to appear for JEE Mains exams. Best for chemical engineering

Best if you want to pursue chemical engineering. That too with a completion of degree just under 1 lac rupees.
