Remarks

To take admission in ESIC government college Hyderabad you need to have atleast 610+ marks if you're from all India quota, around 570+ if state student, and 530+ if you have IP quota seat. The application form is published on the NMC official website and also on the KNRUHS state website. To freeze your seat after counselling, you have to give 10000 rs in all india counselling and 5000 in state counselling. The benefits of reservation for IP quota students are there. The fees is only 20000 which is very affordable, but any student from all over india can join. The admission process is very straightforward, all you have to do is attend all counselling sessions online and get alloted this college either through state or all India quota, then if your credentials are approved, you will be called to the college to provide further documentation and you're good to go.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Medicine is a very interesting subject and that is what attracted me to it. The applications and reasoning you learn here are amazing. The faculty of ESIC Hyderabad is very qualified and skilled. We have multiple professors for the same subject, because of this our student: teacher ratio is very solid. About every day we are divided into small groups for discussion where around 8 students are mentored by 1 teacher, so the personal attention is very nice. All the faculty here have done MD from renowned institutes. the teaching methodologies used here are very effective and different from other colleges. This institute provides students with a more practical and clinical-oriented learning style from day 1. We have seminars, presentations, quizzes, discussions, anything to enhance the teaching process. Exams here are conducted very often, true it's hectic but that is what helps us get through this extremely tough course. The exams are conducted like weekly once or even twice later on.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Since this is an MBBS college, so the students after completing the 4-year course have to do a compulsory 1-year internship at the college itself. After the 5 years, you are required to serve the college for 1 more year or give a bond amount of 5 lakhs to leave. This is a very very positive point compared to other government colleges, the less bond condition. You have to be able to pass the final NEXT exam to get an mbbs degree. After that, you can get a job but most students prefer to do their post-graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very decent just like other government colleges. The fees for All India quota students= 1.15 lakhs (all hostel, mess, extra costs included) State quota= around 60000 rs IP quota= around 20000-30000 rs The hostel fee is only 1000 rs per year. The college also is very approving of all scholarships since it is a central government institute. So we have Telangana state scholarships, central government scholarships too. Many are availed by students each year.

Campus Life

4

Every year we have a fest organized by our immediate senior batch and freshers organized by your super seniors. The fest lasts for about 9-10 days till which there is no college. The freshers are for 1 day and is a lot of fun. Apart from this, there are very frequent festival celebrations too like Christmas, batthukama, holi etc Most MBBS books are available in the library to issue and study. there is a study room for any student to come and study. E-library is also present for books not in the library. And prepladder subscription is there for students to help prepare for PG entrances. The sports facilities in the campus are a little lacking i must say. We have 2 badminton courts, 1 volleyball court, 2 common rooms(carrom, chess), 2 table tennis rooms, 2 gyms, 1 cricket nets for practice. We have college cricket and football twams which frequently play with other colleges There are many clubs and groups on campus and students are always engaged in something or the other.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are very nice. For the 1st and 2nd years in the boy's hostel, there is 1 room with 2 people sharing, while from the 3rd year you have single rooms with attached washrooms. For girls, all throughout the years, they have a 2BHK apartment with 3-4 sharing, it's very nice as of now. Both boys' and girls' hostels have a hot water facility all day long. There is no wifi facility provided by the college. Study tables, beds, cupboards, are provided by the college. The mess is very average though, the food is decent at best, we tend to order food a lot of times, but the committee keeps changing and the quality also is fluctuating. the mess fee is 3675 rs per month as of now. The hostels are very affordable at 1000 rs per year only. The registration takes no time and is very easy. For PG the rooms near Ameerpet or SR nagar area would be favorable for easy commute. But due to the metro facility available right outside the college even if PG is far its no problem.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The fact that this course provides you a very dignitorial position in society attracts me the most into it. The financial benefits are also quite impressive. The curriculum extending for 5.5 years provides you all the required knowledge to practice as a general doctor in the country. There is a total of 19 subjects for 4.5 years in total. 1 year rotatory internship in various clinical department in affiliated hospital gives you very good clinical exposure also. The internship here is stipended by ?26000-/- per month. Every year mcc is renewing the syllabus according to to demands of indian medical system. Frequency of exams are quite adjustable upto rth year. 4th year is quite hectic and tiring with syllabus.
