Remarks

You need to pass the National Eligibility cum Entrance test organized by The Government of India. MBBS is a very intriguing and awe-inspiring course. A mark of around 560-580 is required for state and IP quota students of the general category would land you in this college. Marks of 630+ would bring you to this college through the All India Quota. There's the reservation of seats through, ST, OBC and PwD quota. The counselling process is carried out by DGHS. It takes around one to two months for proper counselling and seat allocation. Once u reach the college for counselling, the authority is very congenial and helps u in the entire process. In short admission process is not cumbersome at all

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose MBBS sheerly out of interest in the subject and my personal will of knowing the human body in a greater dimension. I also like digging into clinical cases and learning medical terminologies. The faculty-student ratio during normal classes is 1 teacher for the whole class but every day students are divided into further smaller batches of around 6-10 people per teacher for discussions and practicals. All professors must be MD doctors. The teachers are very skilled and qualified. The teachers incorporate digital teachings through PowerPoint presentations on the smartboard, seminars, discussions etc. We've CME on various topics like corona etc. We also celebrate various weeks like Breast cancer week and other awareness programmes. PCT(part completion tests) occur weekly while there are 2 internal exams (100 marks) that occur every three months. Overall, it's a great experience to study here and the faculty also extends their full support for our learning

Fees and Financial Aid

The current fee structure: All India quota - 1 lakh, State quota- 60000, IP quota - 30000, SC/ST - lesser. Scholarships are provided to students by the government often like the Telangana scholarship scheme is there for state students, also central government schemes are applicable too. The scholarship programme by ONGC has helped a good number of students here. The students are required to undergo a 1 year internship at the college itself after 4 years of the MBBS course with a stipend amount also provided during the year

Campus Life

5

Unlike other medical colleges, which mostly focus on the academic aspect, ESIC stands out as it is very keen on the overall development of students. It has its own cultural community - 'synapse'. They organise very frequent activities and events for the students along with daily quizzes and case studies with prizes for the same. Similarly, the college fest -AUXESIS 2021 waa organised this year by the 2019 batch which lasted over a span of 10 days with all sorts of sports and cultural themed activities like - football tournaments, badminton, volleyball ,cricket , TT, chess, carrom , dance , singing , rangoli, treasure hunt, Netflix gala, halloween, etc Classrooms here are air-conditioned 250 seaters, 120 seater and 60 seaters depending upon the use. There are smart boards and projectors for a better teaching experience

Hostel Facilities

5

Regarding hostel, its better than most of the medical colleges and is at par with other central government colleges. Each and every student gets a room from the first year itself. The preference is given to those who come from outside Hyderabad. For interns, they get a single room. For all others, one 2 BHK flat is shared between 4.It has 2 washrooms, 2 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, a hall, and 1 storeroom. The hostel is well furnished and is at par with the AIIMS hostel. The hostel fee is Rs. 1000 per year. There's no such thing as hostel timing for boys. For girls, they have to be in campus by 10 at night. If they have to go out then they need to give prior information.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The fact that this course provides you a very dignitorial position in society attracts me the most into it. The financial benefits are also quite impressive. The curriculum extending for 5.5 years provides you all the required knowledge to practice as a general doctor in the country. There is a total of 19 subjects for 4.5 years in total. 1 year rotatory internship in various clinical department in affiliated hospital gives you very good clinical exposure also. The internship here is stipended by ?26000-/- per month. Every year mcc is renewing the syllabus according to to demands of indian medical system. Frequency of exams are quite adjustable upto rth year. 4th year is quite hectic and tiring with syllabus.
