I have a keen interest in subjects like fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, Heat transfer, and all subjects are covered in chemical engineering that's why I opted for this college and the faculty here is soo good.

Internships Opportunities

Students are eligible for internships from the 6th semester. Companies like Reliance, UOP Honeywell, and Cairn India give internships with a stipend of around 50-60 thousand and also provide Pre placement offer (PPO).

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placement. Companies like Exxon Mobil, UOP Honeywell, Technip energies, reliance, IOP, HMEL, and Infosys are visited campus every year. The highest package is offered by Exxon of 11.8 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The chemical branch has a very decent fee of around 18000 and its value for money because placement is very good in the chemical branch. Also, deserving students get scholarships based on their states and category.

Campus Life

Campus life is very good because of the good and friendly environment of the university. Cyanide is our annual fest which will take place in the months of February and march and Aanwik is our technical fest taking place in the month of May.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel room consists of two single beds with an almirah and study table. A good wifi connection is also available in the hostel. The quality of food provided in mess is average and hostel is available to those who get college in the first round of counseling.

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Its more than an average decent college you can surely come here.

Placement Experience:

You can appear for placements starting from 7th semester onwards plus you can apply yourself as well to various off-campus opportunities. The companies which visit are decent i would say including the likes of Amazon, Deloitte, Hero came as well few years ago for mechanical engineers. Around 50-60 decent companies visit the college for placement with around 300 job offers with the highest package around 41 lpa which was off campus probably but Amazon could give upto 25-30 lpa i guess, The average package would be around 7 lpa i guess but its gonna improve year by year. If you are in CSE or IT you are most chilled with around 80% placements, in ECE as well there are decent placements but after that you have to study really well to get placed But you can always do a lot of things after getting your degree.

Remarks:

I chose this because of the brand of Panjab University. Plus you get a lot of exposure of Chandigarh and there are a lot of opportunities there based on your field, even better than Delhi. Plus you never get distracted in Chandigarh because of the reason that people are too much work and ethics focused. Also, the level of knowledge the teachers have in my college is just great.

Dr. SSBUICET is one of the best chemical engineering colleges in North India

To get admission in B.E Chemical at SS BHATNAGAR UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY you should score at least 65% marks in 12th grade and then you have to appear for JEE Mains exams. Best for chemical engineering

Best if you want to pursue chemical engineering. That too with a completion of degree just under 1 lac rupees.
