Engineering courses and also college is well known for participation in various extra curricular activities.

Internships Opportunities

Yes under various courses they provide internship. Most of the reputed companies like Volkswagen and godrej come for internships for the sandwich pattern. In sandwich pattern they have two semesters as a internship.

Placement Experience

Placements are good. Last year over 250+ students were placed in most of the prestigious companies like tcs, infosys, Neil soft, amazon. Packages are not fixed but they are about 2-4 lack and most of the deserving students also gets higher package than that

College Events

Technical events are engineering today which is a big event. Sports events like shivaji trophy are well known and teams from various cities from Maharashtra come there. Cultural events like ashwamedh and shivanjali are well known and one of the biggest cultural events in Pune.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure are around 1 lack a year which is almost same for all the private engineering colleges. Scholarships for obc, ebc, sc, st are also provided.

All the scholarships under the maharashtra goverment are provided like fees concession for obc,sc,st and ebc students are available.you can also avail any education loan from any banks

Campus life is so good as college is situated in the heart of pune city and a good campus.college is prestigious and well known for its participation is various national and international technical events like SAE BAJA, resonance racing, Supra, eficycle, gocart, aerodesign etc

Hostel and mess facilities are available at a affordable cost.There are separate hostel facility for boys and girls with enough accommodate.mess facility is also good enough. Also hostel is available near to the college at a distance of about 10km from college in pune city.for traveling college bus is also available to hostel students

Alumni netwok are well spread over the country and also most of the alumni are working in countries like US,Australia etc

Exam Structure

All the exams held are according to the pune university structure. Labs are in the good condition with all the machinery and equipment are available.

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Admission: I had also applied for top colleges of Pune with tech related branches but the main reason I can't get their is due to high cutoff of colleges I had applied for top colleges like VIT Pune,PCCOE Pune ,PICT Pune ,D.Y.Patil Pune etc and through cap process depending on my percentile I get my current college AISSMS IOIT Pune and I confirmed for these I sorted the colleges depending on some parameter like last year cutoff, placement percentage, autonomous or not etc My college is in Maharashtra so around 80% of seats given to the students who are admitted through Maharashtra state entrance exam for engineering that is MHTCET and remaining 20% are seat are for candidates who admitted through JEE MAIN score so most students peffered MHTCET Exam for admission in our college The overall addmission process is like after declaration of result student make list of colleges and branches those he want to take that list is in a sequential manner then student had to upload that list on portal of MHTCET after 2-3 day result of that list comes and the college which is allocated seen to us then it depend on us that we want to confirm that college and branch or go for next round total 3 rounds are take place in that process and after confirmation of college reporting has been done offline to the college for final addmission process...Read More

Reviewing the journey up till now !!

I gave several exams and cracked them , but due to some or the other factor , I couldn't choose any other college. Due the ongoing CBSE boards, I couldn't register for MHTCET which is apparently a state exam for MAHARASHTRA . You can opt for different colleges in MAHARASHTRA after giving this exam.
