Remarks

Admission was through an entrance test - GGSIPU CET. after the test we were asked to select 3 college preferences. there were 3 rounds of counselling and based on the rank students are given the college of their choice. I did not avail any reservation benefit however there are management qota available. The exam is usually conducted in june and results are declared by july. Classes start in August.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I was interested in management education. The faculties are really good and the faculty-student ratio is around 20:1. The faculties are well qualified and they follow practical based teaching method. The college follows a semester based approach. there are 2 exams per year. there are unit tests mid way. the exams were very timely and were of moderate diffuculty level

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities were hit due to the pademic. many students got stipend while many didn't. companies like Outlook, WeSettle, AMG Group, Metvy and Farsight visited the campus for internships. roles in marketing, finance, social media, content were offered

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placements in the last semester. Placements start before the final exams. companies like Tech Mahindra, Oracle, Natwest, Amazon, CL and Genpact visit the campus, The avrage salary is around 4-5 Lacs. Most of the students opt for higher studies. I have plans to pursue MBA after my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were very few options for scholarships. the fees were 80 thousand per year, there was no hike in the fees. the cost to study is a little higher because of the location. Most of the internships are unpaid.

Campus Life

Initio is the annual fest held in the month of October. apart from that there are many academic seminars and extracurricular events that happen every year. Initio is the main event which had singers like Guri and Dropstadmus. There are ample sports facilities. Library has all the required books. There are 2 libraries - one for school of law and one for school of business studies.

DTU East Campus is Beautiful!

Placement Experience:

From defense like Indian Navy to Indian Army and then companies like Capital Finance, AU Small Finance Bank and others are the ones which prominently offers us intenrships and jobs as well. So, jobs here are quite better than that of DTU.

The Reality of DU colleges

Placement Experience:

Iam a first year student and i dont know much about the companies visiting our college. But what I know is there are not alot of placement opportunities in the off campus colleges (there are some exceptions). This is also a reason why companies dont come in these colleges for placement. But if you are form the north campus or south campus you can have alot and better opportunities than the off-campus students

Get set start with brief info about VIPS.

I applied for Delhi Universities and IP Universities. The first criteria to get into DU is based on merit but also you have the second option ie. by giving the the-Jat exam. Though the cut-off yet goes high for general category students. So I ended up getting into the topmost colleges of IP universities in my course. IP has an entrance exam for every student and the maximum % of admission depends on the Rank you get in the CET. For my course, it is mandatory to have Maths and English in your 12th. The l the rank results higher the chance you to get admitted. The process has 3 rounds after the results. Post getting the results you set your college preferences and according to your rank, you are allotted one. If you are satisfied with the college you can get yourself enrolled but if not you can wait for the second round which goes the same way. But even if you are yet not satisfied you can wait for the spot round ie. if someone leaves that spot. The entire admission process in IP is systematic....Read More
