For pursuing mbbs, you need at least 75% in your 12th board, and if you are sc/st/obc 60% will do. The admission is granted by qualifying NEET, and passing through a counselling process, organised by DME. The NEET form can be found on the NTA website, and the state counselling form can be found on the DME Assam website. Category wise reservation is been allocated. The details are provided on the website of DME. Only the counselling part is a bit hectic and delayed.

Medicine is a respectable profession plus it also is a secured career option for hard working guys. Our college has got the maximum faculty in the entire North east region, with decent technical support. Their are sufficient doctors in every department. All the professor, are post graduates and come with 15 years of teaching experience at least. In MBBS exams are frequently been held, every 2-3 months an internal assessment. Professional exams are held at year end, they are the toughest to pass, and requires actual hardwork. Theory and practical exams are conducted separately.

We have an annual fest in the month of March, called synchysis. It's conducted in a grand way. We have two library, which have sufficient books for studying also library provide an optimum environment for studying. Classroom has air conditioning and projector, with microphone support. As it's a medical college don't much expect regarding sports, a college week is been alloted for all the sports events. Their is a operating students union.

Hostel room is totally free, single room, double room are been provided by the institution. And along with the hostel, a mess facility is also provided. Mess dues need to be paid every month. Hostels are been allotted by the college administration, and every hostel is within the vicinity of the college and hospital.
