Remarks

I had appeared for Jee main in the year 2019 and but I didn't get many good marks. So I tried for many colleges and SLIET was one of them and in the spot round which is known as CSAB, I got this college. At that time I was not knowing much about this college but slowly I came to know everything and can be said that it's an average college

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Term exams are held always on time and it's not so difficult to pass, if you hae gone through the lectures and attended all the classes you can easily pass the paper. Before the starting of exams we also go to the library for the books of different authors for practicing the questions of the subject and in this era Youtube is also one of ghe best helpers in any field.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Some companies are patched up with our college to provide the internship. Some of them are paid and some are unpaid. But if you will try then you will surely get the internship at a good place, so it's better to try your best to get the internship to more better place.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement is not as good as expected, students are placed in a very less number so the ratio of placed students becomes very low. It can be improved if students will try much more and become prepared to get a placement in a very good company.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are minimal as compared to other national-level engineering colleges and very low in comparison of the private colleges. There are different types of funds that are raised by the college every year for the sake of poor students and they are also helpful in the case of Education loans.

Campus Life

3.5

We have a big campus and greenery everywhere, u can find different spots for photoshoots. There are different types of clubs that are run by students under some faculty advisors. There is a cultural fest "Maduram" which is organized every year by the college. And also a technical fest which is organized every year. Both the fests provide a lot of fun to the students and also we can learn a lot from them.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel facility is average, not so much good and not bad, it's an average one. The meal provided in a hostel is only eaten able, sometimes we get better food but gradually its quality goes down. But it can be said that we get different types of varieties of food every day.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
