Remarks

There was no exam in my college for admission. I have applied for several other colleges this year like the Herambo Chandra College, Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose College. But I didn't join them because this college is quite specialized for the course and the teachers are quite supportive too. The minimum marks criteria were 55%

Course Curriculum Overview

I have passed my class 12 with commerce and wanted to continue as well in the future. And Accounting Hons. was the best course for me. There is a huge number of students this year due to many students not joining the college in the last year. This college has NAAC accredited B+ ranking which is quite okish for a college. I have just joined the college and didn't give any exams yet so I am not aware how hard it would be but since it's under Calcutta University the question pattern would be the same as of other colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is very reasonable as it is a government college and it takes hardly any money to study here. Considering the tuition fees in school it is very less. My school fees were 10 times more than this. So the financial aspect of the college is 10 out of 10.

Campus Life

A fest for freshers to start with and different other fests are carried out throughout thr year like the Saraswati Puja and Holi and several others. The library is quite big and has a huge amount of books in the collection. The classrooms are spacious but the condition of the benches is not that good. Different kinds of sports are played on campus-like cricket and football. This college also has the facility to join NCC under the Bengal battalion. Eco club is there in the college which takes care of planting trees.

Placement Experience:

Idk but i guess students become eligible from 2nd or 3rd sem. Idk what is the company visited but the placements are very good i heard that, avg package varies 2.4 lpa I guess. Right now i am doing internship so as of now i don't have plans.

Most of the students also get placement opportunities whether large or small package The opportunity is given to all degree whether it be bcom or bcom hons . Any student who does not get placed can easily use the degree to get a high paying off campus placements and to go to any good college or stay in this college for their post graduation.

The course curriculum is backdated and should be improvised as it doesn't give any exposure of present industry knowledge. The frequency of exams is that exams are held after 6 months on semester basis and are easy to pass and majority of the students pass this semester easily.

Decent government college which needs to improve.

Quite an Average Government College which lacks in infrastructure, faculty, and placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I mentioned, the course curriculum is outdated and no new industry knowledge is being taught. Projects and assignments are also bookish and are just for sake. Teaching methods by teachers are also bookish and backward. The frequency of exams are after every 6 months and are pretty manageable and easy.

Not my choice college but good college

I choose this college because this college is nearby my house and I have chosen the course B.Com Hons and the eligibility for this is minimum 65% in class 12 from a commerce background and you should pass your 12 with mathematics and commerce . After all these you will get your admission. After completing your 12 when you will get your results then go to the college website you want to get admission in fill the admission form and you have to wait until your name appears on the college pdf.
