Admission process is very simple. I got admission for B.E. in Civil Engineering through KCET govt quota. You need to carry your Passport size photos, 10th,12th std marks card original and attested copies with you. Once you enter the section , there will be a board for the admission process, you need to go their and then you have to rrgister yourself in the college website, then submit the DD for the payement made and then give all the original markscard and attested copy to the college.

I took Civil engineering as I was more interested in the structures building and their analysis. There are good number of faculties in the department. For each faculty there are 20 students assigned as mentess to look after their academic and co-curricular activities. There will be a once in a week interaction with the mentor and mentees. As of now there are 20 teaching faculties and 3 non teaching faculties. There are 10 faculties with PhD and 5 faculties are pursing their PhD under VTU, Belagum and other universties. In a semester, there will be 3 Internal Assessments will be done for 50 marks. In internals the possible questions that may come for the final end semester exam will be asked. One can pass easily if he/she has attended the class regularly.

In CMR IT Placements training starts from very first semester itself. There will be different classes for Aptitude,LOgical reasoning,softskills and English language training. Students will be eligible for placements from the 7th semester. there 350+ companies visited the campus and more than 600 students have got offers. The highest package offered for civil was 20lpa and Average was 5lpa and Min was 3.5Lpa I'. trying for placements.

Fees structure varies from the mode of admission you got. The fees structure for the students who got admission through KCET and COMEDK will be fixed by the respective authorities. One can also try for SNQ. Government scholarships can be applied.

In an year there will be 2 fests that will be happening, One in Even semester called- "Cultura" and another in odd semester-"Aura". The library has vast collections of books and refernce books for each department. There is also available of e-library. In e-lbrary, students can get the previous year question papers for their reference. In classroom there are sufficient number of desks for 60students. there is a projector and for ventilation 3-4 fans. There is very good opportunities in sports, the sports available in CMRIT are Cricket,Volleyball,Basketball,Football,TableTennis,Badminton,Kabbadi,kho-kho and many more. I have to mention that CMR IT has won 1st prize in the VTU Sports fest. In a week there will be around 10-15 extra curricular activities in the college from different clubs. There are 30+ clubs including techncial and non technical. you can find the club wensites in the official CMRIT website. Also ther is 100% no ragging in the campus.
