Apart from the high fees that the management charge, the management is pretty good and helpful.

Entrance Preview

I took MH-CET exam which is the common entrance exam for engineering colleges across Maharashtra. It comprises of 3 subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.Physics and Chemistry have 50 questions each, every question is of 1 marks. While in Mathematics section, there is total 50 question of 2 marks each. So the total maximum score is 200. I scored 110/200, which was not a great score but it was decent, decent enough to get me into an average Engineering College. However, I would suggest to try and get marks over 140 to get into a some of the very colleges in Maharashtra.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Since the college is affiliated to Pune University, the syllabus is according to the University, the curriculum is based on learning concepts more than understanding them. The syllabus is changing every 3-4 years so it will improve over time. The practical session, on the other hand, is very good and informative.

Internships Opportunities

You can apply for an external internship, the stipend depends on company to company. The college does have a working system in the library where they pay rs25 for working for 2-4 hours in the college library.

Placement Experience

3

The placements are pretty decent with average placements of 60-70% and the average package being 3-4lacks per annum. However, the job opportunity and an excellent placement depend on the student himself. If you study hard and have a great set of skills then you can get into any company of your desire.

College Events

3.5

There are 3 events celebrated, one cultural one technical and one sport, the technical event is somewhere in mid-September and the cultural and sports event is in February. The technical event is called engineering today and it showcases some engineering models and prototypes made by the students. the cultural event is called Shivanjali and it comprises of cultural activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very unfavorable for the general category students. Fees and very high for the general category students. However, it is kinda affordable for students belonging to reserved categories. This year the fees for the general category were 1.1lakhs. And for OBC it was around 60 thousand.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme that is given to selected method students during the admission processes. To get this scholarship one has to get good marks in MH-CET.

Campus Life

3

The campus is decent. The engineering college shares the campus with the Pharamacy, management, and a junior college. the gender ratio is also good as compared to other engineering colleges. The sports facilities are very good. The labs are also decent and not that great. There are a lot of events going on throughout the year which a very good pro point.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel facility is the worst, their hostel is very far away from the college and it takes 45mins-1hr to travel from the hostel to college also the condition of the hostel isn't very good either. On the other hand, the college canteen is pretty good.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students are very helpful and the alumni network is also great. The interactions with senior students is also a very good experience.

Exam Structure

There are two in-sem exams both are Multiple Choice Questions exams that are taken online by the University and then there is an end sem exam which comprises of a theory paper. The schedule every day is kinda hectic with practicals and lectures to attend one get very less time for leisure and other activities like sports, events etc.

Admission

The admission process is centralized by Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai. The admission process is simple, there are 4 rounds of admission processes, for the first 3 rounds we have to select our college and branch preferances, to I'd suggest filling the preference list very carefully as you cannot change the preferences for the first 3 round after you confirm the list, however, you can change them for round 4. After the allocation of college, we have to report to the institute and confirm our admission by paying the fees.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is kind of average. They have some very good teachers and some teachers that are very rude. But the overall faculty is very knowledgeable when it comes to their course field. Faculties work hard preparing for the lectures and practicals. They are very helpful.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
