Course Curriculum Overview

4

Business fascinates me. My goal is to learn as much as possible about everything pertaining to business and management. Keeping this in mind, BBA seemed like the best option that aligned with my interest and aptitude.About 80% of the class belongs to the commerce stream. And 20% to other streams. The male:female ratio is almost 1:1.Most of the faculty members are PhD holders. Teaching method of most of the faculty members is effective. The term exams were quite difficult for the BBA students, since we had only descriptive and case study questions as opposed to other departments that had MCQ papers for all subjects (in lieu of the online switch). There was no leniency granted in terms of marks and the exam did not follow an open book system.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Goldman Sachs and D.E.Shaw&Co hire interns from my department. The stipends offered are Rs 30,000/- p.m and Rs 40,000/- p.m respectively.

Placement Experience

4

School of Business and ManagementA lot of MNCs and established start-ups come to hire from Christ. They come for a varied set of roles. Students in their final year can register for campus placements. Some of the popular hirers include Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, KPMG, Dell, Zomato, JP Morgan, Deutsch Bank, Walmart labs, Wipro etc.The highest package as of 2020 was made by Bain Capability Network (BCN) for 10 Lakhs p.a. and variable allowance. About 80% of the students who registered for placements got placed through campus. The remaining 20% got placed off campus. If not placements, a popular option is master's. A lot of students prepare for competitive exams and pursue their master's degrees.A lot of students take up the responsibility of managing their family business as well. My plan includes writing the CAT and the XAT exams to pursue my master's and finding a job simultaneously to back up the event that the exams do not go as per my expectations.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are relatively inexpensive compared to other BBA colleges in the country. There seems to be a yearly hike in price. Scholarships can be availed on terms of merit and achievements in extracurricular band Co-curricular activities.

At the departmental level we have cultural clubs like Rang, Dhadak etc. We have the Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell), Marketing Cell (Niche), Finance club (A-Quant) etc as clubs of the department.

Admission

YesMicro presentation. It followed an extempore format and had a wide range of topics ranging from current affairs to general topics. Written test. This required us to write 2 essays. The first was based on personal experiences and the second was based on everyday issues.Personal interview. This had a few technical questions pertaining to business, a few questions related to current affairs and a few personal questions. An important aspect of the interview is the review of the candidate's past academic performance

Placements in the college are decent, especially for MCA students who actively build their skills. The college provides placement training from earlier semesters, including aptitude test, coding practice, and mock interviews which helps in preparation.

Doctor is a noble profession , the mere respect which we get by being doctor is one of the prime motive for me to pursuade this course Aside from physiology , anatomy and biochemistry we have a e t c o m which is a type of curriculum which is thought to us in which we learn to deal with different situations during our career and they also help us in terms of improving our communication which is very crucial In real life application .
