Remarks

I applied to Ramanujan College in the second cut-off. I had my best 4 as 94.75%. The admission criteria were very easy and really simple. The instructions were already mentioned which made it more clear for what is to be done. The documents were also verified on time by the teachers and convener. On the orientation day, we got to know about the college, the faculty is really good and supportive, and the seniors are helpful as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose B.com. Hons. as I wanted to get specified knowledge in the field of Accounting & Finance. I am really interested in business. It is also the top course in our college. The faculty is really good and supportive. There are an adequate amount of teachers per student, they always solve our problems within the same day. We could ask anyone and they would support us and help in getting things done. The faculty is very qualified and experienced. Most of the teachers are Ph.D. holders or part of the Education Ministry. They always try to make us understand things by giving examples or solving case studies etc. In online teaching mode, they showed us presentations on different chapters which helps in getting a better understanding. The exams were held timely and in Open Book Pattern or Assignment based. The marks given were quite good as well.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are a lot of internship opportunities provided by our college in the field of Accounting, Finance, Data Analyst, Business Development Associate, Human resources, etc. Some companies are EY, KPMG, TravClan, Justdial, Newton House, Delloite, etc.

Placement Experience

4

The Placement Cell of our college is really good. It provides endless internship opportunities in the fields of Accounting, Finance, Operations, Human resource, etc. It helps the students to enroll in different organizations to increase their knowledge and skills. The opportunities are provided to all students including freshers. The highest package was between Rs. 5 to 6 lakhs. A lot of students get placements through college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are quite reasonable. It's better compared to the Private Colleges. The college does provide financial assistance, as in online mode a lot of students are not able to buy phones or laptops. After verifying the Financial Status of the family, the college provides an amount for a basic necessity in online mode.

Campus Life

4

Ramanujan College is a prestigious institute under the University of Delhi. Of always attending classes on online platforms, I have personally never seen the college, but always feel attached to it. The faculty, classes, society, and students are all fantastic. I really got to learn a lot from this even in this pandemic, whether it be an experience of Ramcomm Annual fest or the Faculty Development Programme (FDP) etc. The faculty is amazing, they are always available and ready to help us. The environment is also very student-friendly. They are also nice and helpful. Besides this, there are other advantages too that even I'll get to know once the college reopens.

Students of 3rd year are eligible for the same. Mckinsey, BCG, Bain, Blackrock, Meesho etc being the most prestigious recruiters. Highest package varies, but it went around 36 L last year. Avg being around 8 L. I would say most students who apply for placements get placed, however only a few get placed in the top companies. I personally wish to pursue an MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although, people say that B.Com doesn't have a great scope to it, I feel like there are many life lessons that we are taught during our college years. Since the introduction of NEP 2020, there has been a rather great emphasis on practical learning. In our college, we are asked for presentations and group projects to promote learning and communication. The presence of SEC and VAC also helps you develop your soft skills, groom your personality and live a happy and healthy life. Exams are help at the end of every semester. There are a few guides and PYQs with the help of which a student can prepare for these exams. They are relatively easy in my opinion and do not require extreme efforts. Overall, it's a great experience and a great opportunity to learn so many things.

In the context of a fictional scenario, the placement scenario would depend on the specific college within Delhi University. Some colleges have robust placement cells that facilitate campus placements with various companies. The placement scenario can vary, and it's advisable to check with the specific college for accurate and up-to-date information.
